Lore:
Following the Battle of Lordaeron, soldiers retreated to Stormwind City where they began to repair and rebuild. During their brief break from war, Uthrid Lothrain, a seasoned guardsman of Stormwind, began preaching in the streets that he was sick and tired of our homes being the ones to burn. He wanted the safety of his family and to have a world where many could live freely without the fear of the Horde breathing down their necks. While the Alliance officials pulled the strings of war, there needed to be a defensive force that went beyond that of a city guard. A force that would become a shield over the Eastern Kingdoms that would prevent what happened at Lordaeron and Teldrassil from ever happening to Ironforge or Stormwind or their surrounding regions.
Gaining quick support from the common folk, Uthrid created a base camp near the Embassy and began to start training the refugees and the citizens of Stormwind. Many guardsman, magi, and soldiers followed suit shortly after until he had a rather large force under him. Together, he would name this band of soldiers the Lionheart Regiment and from that day forward, their story would forever change.
Three Divisions:
With the current motives moving towards peace with the Horde, there were some soldiers and citizens within the Regiment who began causing uproars within the ranks. This type of action was cause for separation, yet still fighting for the same cause of a safer Eastern Kingdoms.
Crimson Guard: The Crimson Guard acts as the main force of the Regiment. These soldiers, regardless of what they believe of the King’s motives, believe Anduin and the rest of the government have the best interests at heart for the Alliance and the safety of the Eastern Kingdoms. These soldiers follow High Commander Uthrid Lothrain himself and house themselves at the Command Center in Old Town.
Order of the Ebon Lioness: While there are many servants of the king, there are also many who do not support this move towards peace and have not forgotten why the Regiment started in the first place. Those in this division believe that peace comes at a cost and that cost is bloodshed. Only be true annihilation of the enemy can you truly rest. One lieutenant under the Crimson Guard declared they would no longer be a puppet of war and would bring peace in their own way. The lieutenant defected and took any and all who would support his move into Darkshire in Duskwood and away from the eyes of the government. This order is now led by an Inquisitor rather than a lieutenant, they wear black in clear defiance of the Crimson Guard, and are made up of vagabonds, pirates, mercenaries, and bounty hunters.
The Riftblade: With the ongoing war between the two divisions, there were several Ren’dorei who completed their training with controlling the void and bending it to their will. Upon leaving Telo’grus Rift, Lady Kanara Sunglade spoke with Uthrid Lothrain and was invited to join the Crimson Guard. She politely declined and said she would support the Regiment’s move towards a safer Eastern Kingdoms, but she had a mission of her own. She wished to send a band of fellow Ren’dorei to the north and into Quel’Thalas to enlighten any and all who wish to take the leap into the void as they have done. While her venture is a peaceful one, it is also dangerous, and with that, the High Commander established this new band known as the Riftblade. The defenders and scouts of the North.
What we will do OOC:
The Regiment is a friendly atmosphere where we pride ourselves on helping one another gear up through mythics and fun storyline with many choices to be made. We are recruiting any and all levels so long as they are active. From campaigns, to Call to Arms war parties, and all the way to attacks on Horde villages and cities, the Regiment is here to send a message and are looking forward to you joining us. You can message me in game as Kanara or meet in the City Hall in Stormwind and we can talk there with an in character recruitment.
See you on the battlefield!
But I have to get to work now. So I won’t be home for a while. :3
