In treatment myself for Stage IV ovarian. Is this group still active? Folks don’t truely understand how isolating this disease can be or what chemo brian is nor that it’s not always a death sentence. It’s definitely a new normal and a “boss” as someone said above.
I hope everyone is thriving and getting the best care they can!

The link isn’t active, but if the community is still around, I would happily join. I’m having a hysterectomy with an oophorectomy next week due to endometrial cancer. I haven’t been able to do much socially offline in awhile so it’d be nice to meet other wow players dealing with similar issues.

Belated best to you as well. For non-cancer reasons, I’ve been working towards a future oophorectomy as well. I hope your surgery went smoothly and you’re having a comfortable recovery.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Best to you. Congrats on yeeting your troublemaking ovaries!
Other than myself, I know a fair bit of people working towards surgically removing their ovaries or uteruses for various health reasons and we’ve all come to refer to them as “Yeeterus Day” or variations of. Hope that helps you laugh a bit and you have a comfy recovery.
Since I had some well-wishers, I’d like to update that I got my pathology reports back today and I am now cancer free!

lol apparently my first reply was taken down due to me writing the usual reply of “Congratulations, EFF CANCER!” …just with a few more letters to the choice word. That was apparently a forum no-no. Here’s to this version getting through.

Survivor myself! It has been in remission for a long time now, with a couple of scares in recent years. Had ovarian cancer, which had mutated from other cells. Ended up losing my right which formed into a 15kg tumour (not sure what that is in American units) but it was a good watermelon lol.
The main scary thing is and I am sure its a struggle for a lot of cis women in this world. That when we go to the doctor they try to make out its everything else—weight, other stresses etc. The only reason mine was found is I all but died. I got lucky…
it’s no joke that ovarian cancer is a silent killer, always get a second or third opinion from medical professionals.
