I said Girlfriend not Rib-eye steak
My bad, youāre rightā¦
totally off topic but I do recall a guild on my server in original TBC (coilfang, affectionally dubbed coilfail) that fell apart due to a girl that ābefriendedā the entire guilds leadership and a few other membersā¦ then allegedly traveled the country and had relationsā¦ it was all exposed in voice chat (vent or whatever they were using at the time) during one of the raids and the guild almost immediately imploded.
I recall this because one of my buddies came to join us after their guild fell apart in this manner.
Man, I joined the wrong guild.
Im going to update my settings to LF nerdy Wow GF that lives in South Florida 30-40 or anywhere in the US for starters.
Well, at least we know that they still remember how to post on the forums.
So, thereās still hopeā¦
Thanks.
There should be a Wow thread for dating. Its one thing to date and another thing to date and the person not understand a person that likes to game (play wow) on their free time.
Sounds like you just found a unique idea for a forum thread. lol
In all seriousness - I would love to see a blue post - but chances are blizzard want to avoid posting, especially if the post would be against what we want, because of the community backlash.
Or a wow Dating Discordā¦ hmmmmā¦ the gears are turning. Seriously though this is completely out of the OP topic lmao.
Cāmon @Kaivax (Kaivax) - take some time to mull it over. I suspect you guys have already seen these posts and many others like it.
Give us some kinda response. Even if it is some kind of heavily PR-based politically correct statement like āweāre looking into it.ā
Take the time to validate the masses that are eagerly chomping at the bit here.
Legend has it that he appears very rarely and when he does he will leave a blue post and then disappear forever from that thread.
Some says he has never appeared 2 times in the same thread, so if he does appear in yours then hope for the best because it wont happen a second time.
He is a community manager that rarely interacts with the community.
He is ā¦ Kaivax.
I wouldnāt interact with this community if I was in his shoes lol. Thatās the paradox of being a wow community manager
lol I half expect to see a heart on your post from good olā Kaivax himself.
I get why you say that.
Hell, I am afraid to interact with this community half the timeā¦ Weāre a very passionate bunch - but we deserve the validation. This thread, not even including the many-many others that have popped up centering around the same concerns is one of the most heavily interacted posts in the forum.
Even moreso than the RP request forums which were eventually granted.
There is no way you could merge Arugal and Yojamba without risking 24hr Qās come TBC launch day.
Some people canāt have things any way. Up or down. Left or right. They are offensive or defensive, both, and complain when others are any which way. I donāt feel sorry for Piper trying to draw troll sympathy. They are all over the forums just trying to break down the opinions of others, sometime dissecting heavily. Some WoW nerds go beyond kissing the Activision feetā¦ They whiff that Blizzard parmesan. Piper always has to be right. Always. It doesnāt help the subject at hand. It hurts trying to stay on subject when he or she is constantly combative. Sucking in that parmesan. But I digressā¦
Kaivax? Letās get any kind of blue post on this already. Soā¦ Blizzard is now setting up shop. Now we have a heavily detailed warpstalker that, detail-wise, looks like it popped out of retail. Competitive with Ashes? Maybe. Butā¦ hereās another glaring reason for fresh servers. Please. Many of us understand the dollar has inflated. 19.99 a month? I would in a heartbeat. Not a DOT, not a HOTā¦a MMOT (more money over time). Many of us have detailed over and over exactly what we want, and we are tired of kissing Blizzard butt. We have been fighting for this, and an acknowledgement of whether or not a fresh (level 1, no shop or boosts or 200k through the portal or special hearthstone I know pallies are going to meme during bubble hearth) server has been so much as been considered hasnāt even been made. Tens of thousands of views. Thousands of comments. Thousands of people not on the forums feeling the same way, maybe more, and not knowing where to goā¦ The store is coming. MMOT. We will play when you provide the quality product. This is trash.
Provide one set āUnlimitedā TBC. Shop, transfers, no gold gate. Just willy nilly, all the bells and whistles. No active GMs.
Then, āFresh.ā No shop, no transfers unless between āFreshā servers, level 1 starting point. Active GMs like there were in the original TBC that are available to answer should the need arise (mainly for punitive action against bots, RMTs, GDKPs). Charge a slight quality-of-living fee. Youād literally have hordes of responses and players desiring to play on this frame of server.
Imagine rules. And people who would pay to NOT have a CE.
Please respond.
If you remember back the CM who used to really interact with the Classic community (Ythisens) was laid off when Acti-Blizz had that large amount people let go before Classic even released.
Sad daysā¦
I miss Ythisens. He was so chill, even though the entire losing his job process. Really stand-up guy.
I do hope there is a blue post response on this threadā¦ shame it will never be from Ythisens but it would be nice to have oneā¦ @Kaivax lol
I think it is great we are bringing CMs and GMs into this. We appreciated them! And they should be in this narrative, fresh servers or not! We had players as GMs, enforcing rules and it was not completely rare to hear about a guild ban-wave, bots going down en masse, RMTs getting perma-banned. Chinese farmers were a huge deal back then.
For those who say āFreshā servers would inherit the same problems, that would only eventually happen if we didnāt have either a) a proactive community or b) active GMs ready to pounce on the baddies. We were successful in Classic raids becauseāwell, they were fairly easy. But moreso because we knew what we were getting into.
Bots, RMTs, GDKPs, misuse of in-game mechanics are all things we now know we are getting into.
I am old and just donāt remember GDKP at all (heavily populated Darkspear server with one of the best guilds in the game (the Church)). The Church did not GDKP unless it was privately. Gold farming was literally deadly then (a few kids ACTUALLY DIED playing WoW with no sleep), so Chinese farming competition and RMT was taken dead seriously. IDK why we didnāt get Classic CM / GM action.
We have only ever been successful as a community when weāve had management that sticks to the RULES even if it means a permanent ban on a player who doesnāt comply.
Moderators / blues, please respond to this topic. Your involvement could lead to a successful solution that preserves an entire community. Thanks.
