The filter is a nice-to-have feature. People have always been able work around it. It also glitches, and censors some non-offensive words sometimes.
For me, I leave it off. Swear words donât offend me. I (usually) see them as adding color to a conversation.
That said, something that is truly offensive wonât be filtered out. Like racism, sexism, or what have you. Some people live to offend, especially in an anonymous online environment.
It is those people who cannot be filtered, or endured, and so it is up to moderators to deal with them. Content that a reasonable person would find offensive.
Swear words donât offend me either but I leave it on because I think itâs funnier to see the filter.
It isnât a flawed system⌠quite a few people had to report you for the automatic system to kick into effect. You were probably reported for spam, and that is appropriate.
You should also realize that this penalty system is multiplicative⌠So 24 hours for a 1st offense, and it doubles for each offense after⌠So 48 hours for a second offense; 96 for a third, 192 for a fourth and so on. There is no cap to this system either.
The email would than show you all the offenses, mine literally just showed this one, and it stated it was for this one offense. Like i said im not a talker in world chats in the game etc.

That is also why I try not to ignore too many people. You get these gaps in the conversation, and youâre left wondering why it doesnât make sense. Then itâs like, âAhhh⌠one of the people must be on my list.â
I donât know if thatâs true. I was up in the middle of the night (fell asleep waiting on some baby turtles) went to Oribos only to hear general chat full of eleven year olds talking about sex and having it.
