TO THE RACES! - Hillsbrad Charity Derby
Amidst the war, the loss, the sagging morale and the ongoing refugee crisis plaguing the Alliance. Lady June Steelbarrow and Cardinal Niklos Adamant join forces to present to the esteemed members of the Alliance, its many orders and organizations and noble houses - the Hillsbrad Charity Derby! Get your horses ready ladies and gentlemen we are heading off to the races!

The winner of the derby will receive the Hillsbrad Charity Derby Cup, _**150,000 gold**_ in prize while the rest of the proceeds will go to charity.

This is an open Alliance RP Event!

DATE: Saturday December 8th, 2018
TIME: 7.00pm Server Gathering and RP, Races begin at 8:15pm Server
LOCATION: The Brazie Farmstead alla PLANT VS ZOMBIES field.

HOW TO JOIN:

Each order/organization (read: guild) can submit ONE horse (and their jockey) under their color.
Each noble house can submit ONE horse (and their jockey) under their house name.

On the off chance that a guild is led by a noble house, only ONE horse is allowed to run. Minor houses belonging to the same guild are allowed to submit their own.

For obvious reasons, HORSE MOUNTS ONLY (no deathchargers). We have a ton to choose from.

JOCKEYS should be wearing their colors (guild shirts/regular shirts/tabard). Goggles and small helms highly suggested to round out the look.

FOR THE RACE Jockeys please change your RP flag to your horse’s name for easier identification. You may put “Jockey: Yournamehere racing for <group here>” in your currently.

Please fill in the following form and submit to either Junele (June Steelbarrow#3736 ) or Adamantt (Zamboo#4560) via discord or POST HERE for entry:

NAME OF HORSE: (ie. Wrynn’s Pride, K.E.K., Thrall’s Balls, Justice, nothing too long as we will be /yellcasting the race)
NAME OF JOCKEY: (OOC name, and IC name)
REPRESENTING: (Guild name or House Name)
BREED OF HORSE: IC breed (ie: Grizzly Mustang, Strathie, fanon breeds welcome) and a short blurb we can bring up for an intro and promotion

ENTRY CUT OFF DATE: Friday, Dec 7th

Then it’s off to the races!

HOW IT WORKS:

After extensive testing we came down with a simple and straightforward dice system for the race:

Location: The race will take place at the PvZ field in Hillsbrad Foothills, with the outermost ring as the racetrack. Each square is a step.

Movement: Racers will run on a D5, and will take steps per their dice roll for each roll round.

To give stragglers a fighting chance (and to keep the race exciting), The last horse (or horses) will be given a +2 on the dice for their round.

5 horses per race.

After a round is called and rolls are out, racers are expected to immediately take the steps they rolled, the announcer will shoutcast the race and call for the next roll round as soon as possible.

Ties will be announced after detailed photo inspected (read: OOC roll off).

Itinerary:

7pm - Gathering and socializing at Ravenholdt manor. TRADE GUILDS WELCOME to peddle their refreshments, racing wares. Jockeys should be present with their horse so spectators may judge them for bidding.

7.50pm - Racers should begin to file to the racetrack (Plants vs zombies field)

8pm - Spectators should start filing to the racetrack. Trade guilds are welcome to relocate for business.

8:15pm - Let the races begin with our announcers!

After races: Prize presentation. Winning Horse and Jockey to have photo taken with their owner and house/organization.

Donation Booth
A donations booth will be set to receive donations for the care of Teldrassil refugees and Stormwind families. (RP gold for charity, real gold to help with the prize)

Race King and Queen
At the end of the races we will also crown our race king and queen for the best dressed couple!
