I have a Zandalari Sub Rogue and he was a Kyrian. He was my very first character I leveled to 60 in the Shadowlands. The fact that Echoing Reprimand was affected by Symbol of Death as well as a very nice potion to remove bleeds was a good enough reason for me to go Kyrian on the guy.
One time when I went to Maldraxxus World PvP Quest and kill the slimes in the tower. I killed a Shaman that provocatively killed me. Granted this is War Mode but hey stuff like this happens and people love stories. This story is about this poor Feral Druid, opened on me when I was at 50% health. I popped my defensive CDs to survive and dealt 20% of his health.
Suddenly, all of my CDs align with Shadow Dance, Symbols, PvP Stat Trinket, Agility Potions and Echoing Reprimand with Reverberation. I have a nuke macro of it and the next thing I know… His health… The poor druid went from 80% of his health to 0 in ONE GCD. He was a feral druid. He was in cat form. The poor druid did not even expect that kind of damage in ONE GLOBAL.
I even felt guilty of doing this and just said the word “Rekt” and the guy just whispered me saying “Wow, Rogues are so balanced” and I actually agreed with him saying “Yup. I was not supposed to live there”. And ever since then we never interacted and had a grim omen that Kyrian Rogues are bound to get nerfed.
Knowing this would happened, I immediately leveled this DK. A class that I’ve been loyal to and played since release and never looked back into the disgustingness of Sub Rogues ever since. They may be fine now after they sledgehammered ER but seriously… What’s even worse than a broken ability like that is to leave the class in a broken state after a change that many people QQ’d while neglecting any other problems that we still face today.
