A courteous word about LGBT representation

Volumes. Like… max volume.

You’re right. Where is that toddler’s parent so we can smack them and send them to bed without supper?

5 quests. Jesus the crying about LGBT is so funny.

It’s not moving the goalposts at all.

You wanna be the big ol concerned child crusader? Then why aren’t you at all concerned with the people who threaten these events and even show up armed?

They’re doing far more harm to the children than the drag performers are. Yet you won’t acknowledge that. Why is that? Is it because you agree with what they’re doing?

It’d be more funny had it not reached the points it did. Hurled abuse at LGBTQ+ fellow players, slurs and actionable threats, antisemitism in another thread… it’s just sad.

Okay, blame the parents, once again. If you’re referring to the incident that I think you’re referring to (you people always have like the same list of nasty images of supposedly LGBT people up to no good), that stripper was a cis woman, and their parents were present.

A lot of heterosexual adults like making their children do things that aren’t illegal but are generally considered adults-only things, because they think it’s funny or whatever. Personally I wouldn’t do that, but right-wingers are always arguing that parents should have absolute control over everything their children say or do or learn so who am I to complain about it?!

I mean I was already kinda surprised this thread was up 2 days later. I didn’t read anything but the OP but I do imagine they are a toddler

Some people like Rooster-Fights. That doesn’t mean it’s moral (or should ever be legal).

If not for the fact that the English is better, I’m not sure I’d be surprised to find out this one is an alt of the “fun person” in the thread the other time screaming about child abuse.

No it absolutely is what this conversation is about. Because it’s tied to the shows. Ignoring that is disingenuous.

How is it child abuse at all? These shows take place in public facilities which means they need the OK from said facilities, which have rules. Including rules about appropriate clothing, behavior and so on.

Parents are also making a solid decision to bring their child to these events under the pretext that they’re safe. They are, until people come with guns to threaten people doing nothing but reading.

Why are you ok with them being threatened? Why are you ok with children being exposed to violence?

My gosh it’s like arguing with a circle.

At least with a circle there’s a promise of a point… eventually they’ll get around to it.

since I use the ignore function a lot, the post count in this thread is currently only in the 740s. Out of curiosity, what number do you poor bastards keeping yourself open to the nonsensical bigotry/abuse see?

Lots of wombats in this thread
