the money from botting is huge, the botter will hire 1person per 10~20account to monitor them and solve the Captcha asap and it’s NP.

-even if blizzard started to sell gold, botters will sell the same amount cheaper to make players buy from them (as what happened with tokens in past 10years)
-whatever they will do with charge won’t effect bots since they gain magnificent amount of money anyway.
the only solution is banning any gold buyers.
if gold buyers doesn’t exist in game then gold sellers/bots will not exist.

People need to realize tech is way more advanced now bots can be merged with AI and seem a lot more real. Players are going to have to be on the forefront of the problem just like Blizzard it’s annoying to have bots and it’s going to be annoying to get rid of them stop pretending like a magically fix for this problem exist it plagues literally every community in gaming.

Don’t punish the players. 1. Report bots. 2 go into chat in area and rally the players to do the same. Rinse repeat. If we as a player base could come together for once, and by sheer numbers let blizz know we’re tired of it…just maybe.
I think the best option is to randomly spawn a lady with sandwiches. If you don’t accept a sandwich from her after a few attempts she enrages and attacks.

I support Exegutor’s idea. 
If you have the captcha block access to bank, mailbox, vendors, ah and trade and only force it on players with fresh reports of Botting within 48hrs you could be onto something. Additionally, modern captchas are a simple checkbox. No need for these ancient captcha techniques.
Nope captcha system would be the most effective way to eliminate botting. Easy stuff → no one will feel punished except for the people buying the gold.

I actually love this idea. I think it’s well thought out, and would be a good thing. Bots are only really in open world content, so the raids, dungeons shouldn’t be a massive problem.

there is more. it have to cover everything. mass mob killing is another means bots and real players use.
A capcha for every corpse loot. to offset even thread collection botting. I am Nitpicky for effect here. Stocks is great for this. Wool and linen party. Other dungeons for silk, etc.
And every skinning.
watch all the dungeon run times go to crap. 200 mobs, 200 capcha’s. BRD runs get fun enough when tank is on pull mode. Who of the 5…has the torch body? And lucky for the team, its the dude who for some reason sucks at capcha when found.
A “boomer” (some of these I look at them and go wth is this one asking I can’t lie), a dude not good at these, a dude higher than the clouds, a dude 3 sheets to the wind. Or the many combinations of the above.
RuneScape did this and it just created a network of gamers to sign captchas for their bots.
As long as people buy, bots will exist.

This idea is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. If that was implemented I bet half the player base would quit. It’s so freaking annoying to enter those captcha code bill crap as it is and your idea is to bring it into the game where it’ll interrupt your playing experience? Screw that!
Them bot accounts pay their sub fees…Blizzard ain’t banning them.

Stuck in a capcha and…dead. Several times a night.
Over and over. since that forward thinking pvp’er will go I could attack now when they are doing nothing. Or wait till I see the “collecting” animation.
The latter would be taken quite often lol. their target has to add clicks to cancel. the capcha is blocking some screen. and they are focused on that, not looking around.
too many cancels/fails and some have in mind that rates a ban it seems.
get the gank and get the ganked to false report themselves as a potential bot. twice the tears off the gank, which is what many gankers want. Tears to fill their chalices.
So what you’re saying is, you don’t want solutions.
