Anyone getting this error when trying to get back on?

I closed down the client and left for a full hour after their servers imploded earlier. How is my toon still stuck in-game?

Update:

According to GM Droovasz -
“We are currently experiencing some authentication issues for classic, so you would need to wait for those to be fixed before you would be ablee to access this character again, I am very sorry.”

Looks like people are SoL for unknown period of time.

I’ve had that happen before, I normally try logging into another toon or just exit out and wait a bit.

Yes! I am having exactly the same problem, A BG queue popped right before I got DCed and I clicked Enter Battle so that could be it. This sucks.

I logged onto an alt and a /who shows me in Orgrimmar.

Yea, i hopped on my bank alts, took my dog out, and came back. Still getting the error. Usually logging back on after switching toons fixes the issue, but this seems like something else is happening.

yes i was about to make a post about it but i see its happening to others.

i can log in fine with another chr but not the one that was logged in when it happened.

Same for me actually. BG queue popped, I hit enter, nothing happened, and then I closed out. Maybe our characters are stuck in limbo in the BG that never happened.

Not for me. Was just gonna relog real quick then came back to the message when trying to get on that toon when servers came back up.

I took an AV queue right as the servers went down

Same issue. Took a BG queue before servers crashed. Can’t login to my main character now. Logging into an alt and doing a /who it says he is in Org, but with no guild tag.

I have an open ticket, hoping Blizz can force disconnect him
