A case for Tauren Rogues

Are they rogues though or are they like Blood elves as warriors, TECHNICALLY theyre warriors for gameplay reasons, But lore wise theyre spellblades.

I mean that’s fine. I’m all on board with coming up for a lore reason why it could work. I think it should be in the game. There are smarter people for that than me, though.

So basically what you’re saying is Tauren rogues wouldn’t get stealth?

watch blizz come out and say stealth is a light/holy magic skill as you turn invisible by bending light around yourself or some crap

rogues were originally in vanilla portrayed as non-magic users until TBC where they got some minor magical like things like shadow step/cloak of shadows, and especially in legion in subtley where more shadow abilities were gained, however since vanilla i always saw stealth in the game as being a representation of physically sneaking or prowling towards someone, like in real life involving hiding in various bushes, using camouflage, or crawling on the ground, but simply being represented by a faded image moving slower for gameplay/graphical purposes, i can imagine subtley rogues would maybe be using shadow magic to hide themselves over the other 2 specs (which aren’t as keen on magic), but i don’t think blizzard has written the lore for that yet

Blizzard has never really specified how stealth works despite how see some of us might have seen it. The only hard evidence we have either way is the new trailer where they can actually turn invisible.

Well that would explain shroud. It would be like alice when shes in the neatherlands in the magians.

Most races don’t like warlocks or rogues yet many still have them. “Outlaw” “Assassin”
they don’t exist to be honorable or have friends. That doesn’t mean they are all purely evil either. They are the ones that live in the shadows and may do what others are not willing to do for their people or just purely for gold
 it doesn’t matter.

Rogues absolutely do not need to be accepted to learn the tricks of the trade
they can learn from others or nobody
just skills they have picked up themselves or maybe enhanced by having once been a hunter or a warrior.

Wolf claws would go clack clack clack
Kul tiran are huge
there are OGRE rogues. Explain Gnomes capable of backstabbing a Tauren
 Size doesn’t matter lol

I’ve always wanted to see Draenei rogue but because they are too honorable we do not have them. They look so good as rogues :slightly_smiling_face:

If the races are capable of accepting the death knights among their ranks, then why can’t they accept a rogue?

No we don’t need Tauren Rogues. Homogenization is bad. The choices we make should have more impact than cosmetic. Lore plays a role in this game whether you like that lore or not. Not every race needs to be every class.

But Tauren can already be that class in the lore. You just can’t choose it. It’s just like you said: lore plays a role in the game whether you like it or not.

Lore has it that rogues use shadow magic to stealth

Back in the year 1984, the Wendy’s hamburger chain made a series of very famous commercials, that catapulted one elderly lady to her 15 minutes of fame, created a meme of sorts, and sold a crapload of hamburgers. Because of this, the associated comment is protected to a certain extent by the people with the little girl selling burgers.

And so, Blizzard doesn’t want to risk any potential lawsuits generating from Tauren rogues. Too many people asking “Where’s the beef?” might be potentially actionable.

Off-topic a bit. But how is your avatar so cute lol :joy:

Honestly, the steaks are too high for taurens to be rogues. It’s just a raw idea cooked for way too long. It’s not even a rare concept. There is absolutely no meat in your argument and I honestly have a beef with people like you because of how you milk these subjects. If you bring this up an udder time I may have a cow.

If Draenei Rogues still aren’t a thing when there’s literally an entire platoon of them in the game (Rangari), and a prominent lore figure that is one (Mischka), then we aren’t getting Tauren Rogues.

I was hoping BFA would introduce new race/class combos that now exist in the lore but apparently they decided not to. Like:

Night Elf Paladin (Paladin Order Hall)
Draenei Rogue (Rangari)
Pandaren Death Knight (Death Knight Order Hall, they raise new Death Knights now)
Tauren/Highmountain Warlocks (Remnants of the Feltotem)

Etc.

I herd what your saying, but most of it seemed like bull.

I got snuck upon twice in 5 minutes by that thing.
I remember reading that during the BC beta, a dev accidentally set the Fel Reaver 3D model to a cow.
Cue jokes.

Tauren rogue sneaking: boom, boom, boom, boom, , boom, boom.
