Remnants is a weekend raiding guild on Benediction that is recruiting for our raid team! We have a long time core roster and are looking for some last few key players to join us and fill in the final pieces we’re missing.
A lot of us have been raiding together since Phase 1 of classic launch under the name of Casually Competent on Faerlina and recently transferred to Benediction since that server quickly became horde dominated, so if you’re looking for a guild that has lasted a long time with many long time members look no further.
We cleared Hyjal/BT first week and are now currently 1 night clearing both with Gruul (albeit sometimes with a bit of overtime) and running a SSC/TK GDKP on Saturday. We plan to maintain a similar progression and scheduling plan in Sunwell and beyond.
For our loot system we use a closed bid DKP system using the Community DKP addon. When a piece drops all players are able to put up a bid that no one other than the loot master is able to see. After the timer the piece will go to the highest bidder for the 2nd highest bidders bid amount. (E.G. Person 1 bids 200 DKP, Person 2 bids 100 DKP, Person 1 gets the item for 100 dkp.)
You earn 10dkp for every boss kill and a 5dkp bonus for being there at the start and end of raid. If you are missing enchants or gems there are dkp minuses since everyone should be doing that at the bare minimum. We also have a 10% weekly decay on the dkp so any new members don’t have an insurmountable mountain to overcome before they can get any gear. With this and the bid system, DKP often keeps relatively low and flows out quickly at the start of a tier so with Hyjal and Black Temple coming out there’s no better time to join.
Raiders will have priority over Trials for gear if both players decide to bid for a gear piece. We have a 3 week trial process for new players, after which new players will be judged on their performance and fit for the guild for a promotion to raider. You still earn full dkp during this period which will carry over if promoted.
We are semi-hardcore, we have skilled players and do clear content easily but also realize that Classic raiding is not about the difficulty of the content but the people you clear it with. We encourage a fun atmosphere in raids where we can joke around while still getting the job done. People are encouraged to come to raid prepared and show effort to help the raid go as smoothly as possible but you also don’t need to no-life the game for 8 hours a day.
