A 780 IO Player Makes the M+ Calls

Most of GD doesn’t care about the real-world person behind an IO score. Nice try.

Most people aren’t public figures for corporations either. Nice try.

So why does IO matter? If you have a problem with the guy, stalking his toons to make your non-point just looks desperate.

You got proof it is indeed his toon, you can do the rest of the stalking yourself. The proof is there, now you have been given the tools to prove its not… get on ya horse and get goin.

In my experience, it’s more like:

Architect draws a pretty picture and gives it to an engineer.

Engineer takes a shot and figures out how to make it work.

Architect gets miffed that his impossible design was fixed.

Builder slaps it together. And I hope you got a good builder, because otherwise he “good enough’d” it

A 2011 video is the best you can do? Did a horse help you find it?

Haha, actually I was just a draughtsman working for an architect

Was a kul’tiran actually. Doesnt change anything about it though. You know that is at the very least an active toon he plays as of now and i doubt he has more than 1 active alt, with how unfriendly this xpac is to alts. If he is using another toon as mis main, prove us wrong.

“This character he played 13 years ago during burning crusade, before even worked at Blizzard, is definitely still his main in 2021” is the positive claim. Burden of proof is on you, sunshine.

All resources available confirm this is his active toon. What kind of information exactly would get you to shut up? You got clips of him playing it, you got him playing as the GM of the guild and actively raiding on that toon. Its not like hes going to announce it to the world now, its not relevant to anything outside of this conversation. The damn toon is sitting at 9/10M. Even if its not his main its close enough, what one more kill would change anything?

I have over a dozen “active toons.”

Don’t get your panties in a twist, you seemed so sure it was his main that I thought you had proof. It’s fine that you don’t.

heres his raid logs showing him doing progression on that toon as of last week.

happy? no cause it shows your wrong and i bet you will still dig your heels in.

I don’t know why you’re still hung up on this.

You have his shaman and guild name. Due to his prog and guild rank it is likely his main still. You are free to do some searching to see if he does have another character; to me the evidence so far seems good enough for the threads premise.

Does the lead designer have enough xp in m+ to be calling things fine? Probably. I’d hope he has a team of underlings that also play m+ and I believe they still stay in contact with top players on their secret discords/forums.

There’s likely just a difference of opinion on what m+ should be and if there should be hard/easy weeks or not. It’s definitely doable every week; but for those hitting their peak it might be frustrating to clear 15s one week but not the next.

Progress != main. Nor does it mean anything for OP’s point.

If such top secret forums exist, they’re unlikely to tell the OP about it if he’s willing to make callout threads over a 13-year-old toon.

I dunno about you, but people dont tend to do progress fights on their alts. Look at the patterns, raided consistently on that toon the whole xpac, everyweek for the whole xpac, most weeks raiding twice or 3 times a week on that toon… not alt behaviour.

The logs dont lie.

Yeah man I forgot that people usually don’t main old toons because they get gray hairs and weaker.

where’s the gif

they do. I know there’s specifically one for top raiders to talk to the devs about mythic raid encounters about tuning and bugs.

This is misleading and wrong.

Like when you play a strategy game and turn up the difficulty. What I WANT is… a harder difficulty. I want the computer to use better tactics. Have better counters. Make better choices. FOR THE MOST PART… what actually happens is that you just get MORE of what is already being thrown at you. Which isn’t the same thing.

The analogy in WoW would be: imagine if you just cleared LFR and, didn’t go to normal, heroic or Mythic… but rather had to fight TWO of the same watered-down bosses you just killed. It’s more of a DPS check, right? It’s arguably “harder.”

But hopefully you’d agree that compared to the Mythic encounter, it really isn’t.

People actually DO want challenging content! It’s just that what is being presented to us isn’t so much CHALLENGING, so much as it’s just ANNOYING and FRUSTRATING. Can you overcome that challenge? That’s great. That doesn’t mean it’s a compelling GAME EXPERIENCE.

I especially say this as melee, since so many of these “challenging affixes” are nothing but gigantic road blocks to being able to simply play the gd game as a melee. 80% of this game is “don’t stand in the pools of bad on the ground.” That’s great as a ranged class… YOU JUST MOVE. Melee… have nowhere to go.

Again-- that’s not a challenge so much as it just ISN’T FUN.
