Just randomly drop any item one can get in any content strolling around sniffing roses in world zones. Problem fixed. Ofcourse very very very tiny chance heh.
Whatever people think of ilvls associated with open world gameplay, itās absolutely no fun to be hit with an ilvl cap for drops in any type of content, with the only way to upgrade being a long term currency grind of the same limited array of content every day.
I look at the world quests and the mission tables, and I see the same lvl 213 cap thatās been in place for months, and I just donāt bother.
Iād love to know how they believe āRaid loot drops at an increased rate.ā
90% of the loot I have on my 60s thatās from the SoD loot table, came from weeklies.
Iāve done countless raids with literally no reward whatsoever. None .Nothing. 35 anima. 50 Embers and like 100 anima.
Why do I need over 100 embers? Even if I had the shards (which never drop) to upgrade them, thereās only 1 level of upgrading per shard. Iād still have like 50 left.
World quest (and mission table) rewards were capped at 194 in 9.0. Then they were increased to 213 in 9.1 through Renown upgrades. However, there will be no more Renown upgrades in 9.2, so it seems that the rewards will be stuck at 213 for the rest of the expac.
The rewards should have been 220 in 9.1 and 246 in 9.2, to account for the 26 item level increase with each patch. This is how world quests rewards scaled up with each patch in Legion and BfA.
Shadowlands devs clearly wanted to nuke world quest rewards out of existence. Iām not saying that world quest rewards should be max item level, but they at least need to keep pace as a system.
Are you not aware that there are 5 ranks to the gems?
It takes 100 embers PER GEM to upgrade them. To do competitive DPS in the raid you need to slam down the full 300 embers. At this point in the tier its a moot point since weāll be moving on in 2 weeks but that 3 piece set bonus fully upgraded more than a thousands DPS.
late in the xpac bliz seems to really only care about draining whales in the cash shop, which is specifically the demographic that participates in manual matchmaking
not like subs are gonna go up, so they are laser focused on increasing micros
i canāt wait for microsoft to get involved, it canāt possibly be worse than the current wow design trends
phil spencer said he wants to return wow to being the pixar of gaming, which wow is currently not even remotely close to
Manual group creation was the standard from the games creation up through its peak. Itās the standard right now in classic and TBC classic which are/were immensely popular.
I keep thinking the same thing. Anyone could do better job than the current team; all they would have to do is copy and paste the systems from MoP or Legion and overwrite elitist systems like SLās Great Vault or M+ Valor.
Microsoft has to be savvy enough to realize that the niche market for hardcore group content is not great enough for WoW to grow in this state. In fact, WoW Shadowlands would have a lot fewer players than it does now were it not for all the players that stay subbed out of loyalty, habit, or addiction.
An MMO needs to focus primarily on casual PvE content. Everyone in the industry has realized this except Blizzard.
Manual group creation is bad in SL because the content has more difficult mechanics and timers, unlike the early versions of WoW in which there was only one difficulty for raids and dungeons. As a result, the community has grown more toxic and is more obsessed with time efficiency and performance.
Getting turned down by premade groups for no apparent reason feels worse than clicking on a queue and waiting for the game to find someone for you.
Also, the leader of a premade group could kick you suddenly for no reason, while in a queued group you have to stand out enough to get vote kicked.
Very true, but you canāt get Blizzard to force others to play with you when the content has a scaling difficulty.
Everything that currently have a auto LFG system is designed to be baseline difficulty, even the worst/newest players in the game should be able to complete them.
The reason is they found someone more suitable than you. Either their class fits better/they are meta (blizzard balancing issues) or god forbid they are just a better player?
The same argument can be made getting paired up with unskilled players on harder difficulty content and smashing your head against a wall for hours is also not fun.
I would be VERY surprised if questing is impossible due to low levels of gear. Korthia level gear will most likely be sufficient until we get Zereth Mortis greens.
We have every reason to believe that people who have no access to usable gear would quit rather than continue paying for a game that gave them zero access to content.
what are you talking about? outdoor content? most raiders are 100 times more casual than a so called non raider casual. what you are calling a casual is someone that runs around and does world quests. what i call a casual is a hardcore raider that only logs in for raid nights and once after weeks and weeks of raiding they finally clear the raid and log out until the next patch. now thats the definition of a casual.
as for non raiders the vast majority do everything that the game has to offer except hardcore raid because hardcore raiding takes commitment, constant scheduled times, homework, like a full time job that many people cant commit to due to small things such as work and life you know. even though they are still able to put in the hours of gameplay they can only do so at random times.
however there are a million and 1 things to do outside of hardcore raiding that requires good gear and because there is basically no option outside of hardcore raiding that leaves a stale taste in peoples mouths. i used to be a hardcore raider one of the top hunters in the us in a top 100 guild but those have since past and i have always picked up for the non raiders because i know that if there was an option to earn the good gear they will earn it.
everytime i see someone pissing and moaning and whining about non raiders having a way to attain good gear all i do is laugh. scared that some welfare geared person is gonna whoop their dps on a world boss lol
Zereth Mortis gear will likely be good enough for Zereth Mortis, but not good enough for anything else. Apparently devs made the item levels of the gear low to appease raiders, but gave the gear bonuses that only work in Zereth Mortis as a consolation to world content fans.
And unfortunately thereās a group of people who are clearly being carried by their groups asserting that doing group content is āworkā, which is doubley ironic considering games are meant to be fun, not work.
We all get it that you want to roleplay. You donāt need gear for this. If you donāt want to raid or clear mythic+ content or do arenas then just get your epics from the new island and dailies there and you will be powerful enough and more to clear whatever you want outside the content you donāt want to play or even better you can start progressing raids with that gearā¦
Or you know⦠you can always play another game⦠I donāt get those pathetic rants from newbs.
