9.2 Datamining has begun

Well Jailer is going, going: SPOILER

It’s so incredibly cringe, and yet somehow they manage to piss on my childhood (WC3) as well.

Introduce a villain in one expansion. Shove him in and ruin every storyline we all fell in love with to make him relevant and then kill him off in two patches.

Well done blizzard and Danuser. Thank you soooooo much.

With actually good writing you can add a new villain and make them organically part of WoW.(see Thunder King) The Jailer is not it.

We dont have any motivation, backstory, or even cool moments. He is no better then any no name raid boss we kill.

Developer- “Lorewalker Cho never read a poem about Zovaal like he did The Thunder King. Clearly, that is what we need to do.”

“… his nipples, his nipples, they fill you with Dread.
The nipples, the nipples, of The Lord of the Dead.”

N’Zoth whispers: When the arrow finds its mark, the last fetter will fall away.

Sylvanas, Warden of the Damned!!!

Eons of planning, all to be defeated by a Gnome wearing sunglasses and a pink tang-top. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Great, and still no freedom for the Night Elf souls

For now he is gone and considering he is the reason why said night elves were killed/he was the one destroying their souls you can at least take some comfort from that.

So the only point of Shadowlands and BfA was to get rid of the Night Elves and to torture and obliterate their souls.

Then they introduced an npc that has no story at all as a villain to kill it off instead of Sylvanas and that’s supposed to make up for it?

For now we do not know what the ultimate fate is of Sylvanas nor of the night elven souls. Yes I am sure many night elves souls were destroyed by the Jailer(same as many other souls). Warcraft was never a just place, just as the real world isnt and that is we have hero character who are trying to right those wrongs.

We are going into the engines that create the Shadowlands. Who knows what we can do with that thing once we take it from the Jailer.

Well, obviously she will escape justice.

We also never hear of it in 9.2, so the only possible outcome is that they are destroyed.

Well nothing of course, because that could be interesting.

Sylvanas… the one champion of Azeroth who wanted nothing more than to bring us all freedom. Only she can wear the crown of wills!!!

Oh that stuff forcing about her forcing us to serve her? Yesterday’s news.

Based on what we know she is probably going to end up being judged by Pelagos, the new Arbiter.

probably to become the new jailor and then she will put on the helmet.

Nope, they’ll probably give her Bastion while all of her victims were obliterated in the maw if she doesn’t just return to Azeroth.

I’m calling it right now

It can also show how the two brothers are different in their characterization. Detheroc prefers to take prisoners and enslave them. Like he did with Garthios back during the Civil War of the Plaugelands. Meanwhile Balnazzar is the type of guy who simply wants to leave no witnesses.

Not to mention that by shoving him into the story of WC3 and beyond, it makes things confusing. Such as Kel’thuzad (working for the Jailer) vs Balnazzar, Detheroc and Varimathas (also working for Zovaal) during the Civil War of the Plaguelands. Not to mention that the only reason why Kil’jaeden went with the scourge was because the Orcs had failed. Due to them having “free will”. As Gul’dan betrayed the Legion (and the horde) for his own personal pursuit of power on the eve of the Hordes victory. So happen would Zovaal have done if the orcs did succeed in their mission of wiping away any resistance for the Legions second invasion? If the Orcs won, there would be no need for the Lich King.

Hell, Ner’zhul instructing Arthas to kill Mal’ganis for his well earned vengeance should’ve been a red flag to Zovaal that his “creation” was not fully under his control. Surely he would’ve contacted Daddy D, who would’ve contacted his Dreadlords to destroy the Lich King there and then. Considering that Zovaal could see through the Helm of Domination and thus Frostmourne as well. Also I just find it funny that ultimately Zovaals involvement with the creation of the Lich King amounted to nothing. Since both Ner’zhul and Arthas did their own things. So why was he even included in it? What was his goal with the Lich King? He didn’t need the lich king to get to Zereth Mortis. Not mention that if Illidan had succeeded in destroying the Lich King, would that cause a tear in the veil if the Helm of Domination was destroyed?

Zovaal is basically an antagonistic mary su. He is the mastermind behind everything and according to blizzard he has never known defeat… even though he has. And it seems only the writers love him. The current writers need to get off their ego trip and learn some humility. Maybe the Accuser can help them with that. Blizzard even had to write some characters to act stupid just so they could try and attempt to keep a “consistent” storyline with the new changes. Such as the Archon completely ignoring Devos about how a mourneblade is loose on a mortal world. Surely the Archon would’ve taken that a bit more seriously since it came from her Paragon of Loyalty. All she had to do was inform Maldraxxus about this. Either the Primus (who was imprisoned in Torghast by this point) or Arakkak (Margrave of the house of Eyes). Either way, it would lead to the discovery of the Primus being missing for a while.
