Average time on the PTR for a .X content patch in BfA was 2.5 to 3 months. Considering the fact that Covid is still a thing, an August release is still very much a possibility. If I had to bet money, I’d say July.
Two weeks from now is mid April.
Assuming a typical three month PTR cycle that puts it pretty squarely in July.

as long as tbc classic and 9.1 dont come out around the same time, im cool with it. if tbc classic comes b4 9.1, longer 9.1 for ME is fine. if tbc classic isnt out yet for when they plan 9.1, then 9.1 sooner is better. also still not sure why i can only post on my classic chars, and not even the one im playing right now, only old ones. Loktardogawd lvl 60 mag’har orc shaman on dalaran-us just to avoid looking like im posting on some random char to hide .
It better be one awesome patch.
Either that or there is a Plot Twist in the Zone’s appearance… What if the First Ones are the Protoss and Zerg? The Protoss did call themselves the First Born which is the name of the race the very first First Ones in Babylon 5 that Shadowlands seems to be emulating.
Case in point: One of the weapons taken from the Broker Megadungeon is clearly a Psi/Warp Blade!
If Blizzard is hiding the Plot Twists then things will get interesting.
The flying and using mounts in the Maw is what I’ll be happy about. I’m still actually enjoying it as I level different alts.
Hopefully there won’t be a Lucy with the football moment from PTR to actual 9.1 launch as they did with beta and initial release.

Flying will be tied to completing the 9.1 covenant story . It will be account bound so upon completion all toons in SL will be able to fly in Bastion , Revendreth , Maldraxxus and Arden Weald regardless of level.
They will release 9.1 early to keep sub numbers. It will be full of bugs

I like how it cuts out on the word feedback XD…
InB4 renown will be increased to 80, time-gated by 2 a week and you need 80 to get flying.

Ya they made up my mind for me If i’m going to quit shadowlands. Thank you blizzard been a fun ride not waiting that long for a patch that wont add anything fun.
Oh thank goodness ok 9.1 actually may be mid/late june. I am a bit skeptical though seeing as how much things have already been delayed or just been rushed and totally unfinished (like this whole expansion).
Still weird they never commented on the August rumor’s though and put everyone at ease if they were planning for then.
Holy crap they better not do that. At least make it like 3-4 renown a week if they want to do that. The whole ‘2 renown a week thing’ was honestly just so bad and just a crappy way to draw out how little content there actually was.

LOL the folks saying 9.1 isn’t coming until end of July/august are fools.
They already said it will be based on completing your Covenants 9.1 story line.
They announced this during Blizzcon online and it is account bound .
The restrictions are you can only fly in the 4 covenant zones . You can’t fly from one to another because they actually aren’t close .It would be like using one of your personal mounts to day fly from Silvermoon to Orgrimmar.
Are they ?
1: They say coming to ptr in **about ** 2 weeks . Does that mean actually 2 weeks or will it be sooner or later then that.
2: This is actually a ptr for a content patch so how long will the ptr last .
Well, they said it’d be by completing the 9.1 campaign. How long that timegate will be at what renown level remains to be seen. 
Well if it is like the 9.0 campaign then maybe up to renown 63 . Maybe more or maybe less.
