this book could be a content patch
all the books starting with The Shattering and on could be content patches because they usually include vital lore or plot threads
That plus Turalyon and Alleria hunting Sylvanas and I’m totally sold. I want this book already. xD
Surprised it’s not a Christie Golden book, though. She IS my favourite.

Prequel novels for expansions is a dumb idea. Prequel novels should be content patches that bridge expansions.

He wasn’t a meme character. This shrimpy dweeb who did nothing got a good response, so Blizzard will cling to him for years.
I’d argue that Rohkhan has been a part of the Horde for years, even part of the Warcraft III game, and people still go “…Who?” when he shows up.
Zappy Boi at least has some personality and is trying to find his way in the world, in a Horde that is all he’s ever known, and ‘Coming Of Age’ stories are always going to be popular.
It also means he gets to be the Grom to Durak’s Thrall/Go’el in the inevitable rehash expansion where the Horde ends up in Super Internment Camps under the control of goose-stepping Light Forged Humans because you just know we’re going there someday with the reveals about the Mother of Light being present in every timeline and the Army of Light being kinda Borg-like without Turalyon throwing them off their game.
