Stupidly enough, I have, and I’ve been told point-blank unless I live within a specified distance from their offices, I won’t be considered for any position. It was a non-negotiable part of the employment offer and the NDAs were horrifying in their scope.
So to get the job, you have to either already be living around the facility within at least an hour’s drive, or you have to move there and hope you get the job. Unless you are already within the vicinity, your application would be immediately rejected…
I mean, I can see their point, but considering to move there I’d want to have the position locked in before risking every financial asset I possess to move to another country in search of my dream job.
