Okay so I just finally got around to watching that cinematic and uh.
What?
80% of that was just an in-game cutscene using in-game animations. Half of the effects weren’t even completed, the sky was jittery at the beginning and the four laser beams were cut off.
I thought people were being a little dramatic over how bad that was but holy crap. The decade old Wrath of the Lich King final cinematic looked higher quality than that.
Apparently they unlisted the video on their Youtube channel too. I’m sure there could be other reasons but it does strike me as… shame. Which makes me honestly feel really bad for the developers at the bottom of the totem pole here. I don’t think anyone wants to make something like that.
