What if they just update a few zones to max level as the plot calls for it instead of investing a lot of resources into stuff that’ll be phased out? Not the whole planet every time but just what’s important then.

New zones are always lovely but they mostly fall into pretty basic stock categories: spooky swamp, desert zone, really tall mountain, big tree forest and Nagrand. That’d be fine, but they’ve started picking up a bad habit of having nothing to do with the main plot. Like in Legion, most of the zones outside of Suramar didn’t have much to do with the Legion invasion despite being next door neighbors. Drustvar was my favorite zone of BFA but I realize that it mostly exists as an excuse to have Kul Tiran druids and to make Diet Witcher III. But what does that have to do with the Faction War?

As it stands, the only reason to up the level cap is for hype and marketing. Is it worth investing in 6 new zones of art assets, mobs and lore that get binned as soon as the next Timeless Isle comes out? Especially when there’s existing zones that are relevant to the current plot.
