It’s true. We’re really not sure how much meddling the upper echelons of Blizzard do in the writing (if the rumors are true about Activision’s involvement in the decision-making process, there may be quite a bit of interference).
I started wondering to myself what character I would genuinely miss if they died and all I could come up with were minor NPCs.
Addie Fizzlebog, the intrepid Gnome Hunter from Legion, specifically came to mind. She’s got no real bearing on the plot, nor any real input outside of being charming and needing our help, but I would fight until my hands fell off to protect her.
Part of me wonders if we might all feel a little sadder about Saurfang’s death if we had spent his exile just hanging out with him instead of fighting Loyalists the whole time.
