See, here’s the thing: this standard isn’t universally applied.
People come down on me for being too aggressive, for having too many unpopular opinions, whatever. And that’s fine–criticism is worth considering. But when the slurs, the anger, the abuse follows, I’m not afforded the same standard that everyone else enjoys.
So yeah, I apologize for being frustrated and fight-y because I know that, when the time comes and someone sees an opportunity to call me an abusive name, I’m going to be left to defend myself again.
