8.3 most broken patch ever?

Not what I mean it a 15 year game and they are going to try and change codes that reduce lvl all over the game. I have a friend that computer tech and he tell me the older the program the more you can have problems changing them.

I thought we were talking about 8.3, not 8.0 .

Or when they introduced CRZ. /shiver

I wish in America we said things “have a few dozen pints, relax, and carry on with our day.”

brb, moving to Belfast.

Lots of people like to use equivalencies to make their point. It’s a weak argument style. Comparing classic patches to a game 15 years old as a barometer for expectation is ridiculous. This is their biggest fail. It almost looks like purposeful incompetence.

This is relatively mild, if not expected for a patch this big. I’m willing to bet Ny’alotha has some bugs too.

Statement: No, use your own words to describe your experience, not some youtubers.

Back in the day people would deliberately avoid playing a new patch on patch day, some players just avoiding the game for an entire week. WoD was borderline unplayable when it released with massive bugs that would stop people from being unable to play within the first part of the introductory quest.

The issues with 8.3 are annoying but they’re nothing more than minor inconveniences. The backlash is severely misplaced and it’s obvious that people have gotten to a point where they want to hate everything about this game. It’s one thing to provide critical feedback but this whining just to whine thing is getting really old.

This isn’t the first time they’ve changed WoW this massively.

What your friend told you holds true for old programs no one has touched in years. WoW is being actively developped.

I haven’t encountered a single bug in the new content, and if I have, it was something that was subtle enough for me not to realize it was a bug. Aside from the current realm downtime, this patch is pretty good.

I saw Bellular’s video about not getting gear from Horrific Visions being a bug he experienced with his friends. I experienced this as well but didn’t know it was a bug. Lot of horrific visions I did on several characters gave me no gear. Feels bad.

I remember aq gate opening event. My server crashed several times over 2 or 3 days. Just too many people in one area and it wasnt even a high population server. This is something else now and it’s almost as annoying to have random lag skips.

oh noes, something that has to do with heavy and complex programing didnt work and unforseen mistakes happened …

1 how can we live with this
2 this never happens to nay company
3Spending time outside wont do you harm

Maybe the boss I killed in pandaland was broke for me.

I soloed it on this toon and got a grey item less then 2 gold worth for my troubles. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’m just saying it feels weird to see a big company with many years of experience with this same program end up having an extra long ptr to test stuff and we still get shafted when it goes live.

No it doesnt I have worked in IT all my working life with transnational and stuff still goes wrong ITS NORMAL!

Maybe but your trying to change lvl from all out door in dungeon and raid from when it started to now . I have to talk to him about if being active developed is a plus or minus to changing a program that much. I am still worried it could go south.

So same as the squishes in 6.0 and again in 8.0.

An they still had problem with it when launched but this is on a bigger scale.

It’s not on a bigger scale, and no one said there wouldn’t be “problems”. But at the end of the day, 6.0 and 8.0 were still quite playable (well, 3 days in for 6.0, because of all the server issues unrelated to the number squish).
