8.3 Maintenance Window

Are we getting a maintenance window for downtime 1/14/20? Surprised I have not seen any posts and threads regarding the subject. Am I missing something here? I also havent seen any content downloaded ahead of time via launcher. Lets talk!

Likely will be most of the day

Most likely it’ll start at 3 AM PST and last for 8 hours. And yeah, it is strange that the background downloader hasn’t been used at all. Guess they want to stress test with everyone downloading the whole patch at once.

Its usually up before the maintenance is scheduled to be tho stability is a whole new issue, but I believe the last few times were scheduled to end at 3.

Based on my experience with major WoW patches, the servers will come back up around 2 PM Mountain Time.

All I know is, expect to see several rage threads about the “unexplained” and “unexpected” server downtime on GD when they do go down

They usually release the downtime information on Sunday afternoon, check out @BlizzardCS. I’m not seeing any announcements at this time. They also update the launcher page about the same time to show the downtime.

Yeah I checked on Twitter but was silence. I know when it came to 8.1 and 8.2 and .5’s the window was 8 hrs and the realms came up early 4 hrs ahead of time. I am thinking this is going to be the same. Well it will be nice.

I understand this is the last Old God, he may not be particularily happy with the Devs and the Lore. Which would be understandable. :joy:

They need to prepare for the Vulpera overlords as soon as they know of the arrival they will alert us.
