80's & 90's TV Theme Songs night

Technically the 70s, but I posting it anyway!

(When Legion was first announced, I kept imagining this would be what the next expansion would look like)

I know too dang much about Baywatch after watching “Baywatching” on youtube

Got the Galactica 1980 version to fit the song in to the thread but the 1978 version is better…

Edit - beat me to it

Bloody hell. I’ll do it my bloody self. I’ll represent British TV shows. Bunch of uncultured swines.

There is a reason this was the first British show mentioned in a long thread.

I kid! But seriously, are there any old British shows with catchy well-written themes? I like to obsess over this stuff.

No one posted this one yet? Really?

Obviously with this character I have to throw in some love for the Mama’s Family theme:

And, since the Cheers theme was posted already I want to give a shout out to two of Gary Portnoy’s other great themes:
1.) Mr. Belvedere/“According to Our New Arrival” (probably my favorite TV theme):
a.) original aired version sung by the late, great Leon Redbone:

b.) The full version of the song from Gary Portnoy:

2.) Punky Brewster

I’ll also throw in Dear John:

I might have been a rough and tough kid but even I didn’t interrupt Grandma’s time when this show came on.

There would be hell to pay if you did.

Did we all have the same childhood?

Make a fuss during Grandma’s “stories” and the wooden spoon comes out!

I loved this show.

Fun fact, the guy that played “Dennis” the computer guru created (or helped to create) a bunch of shows for Nickelodeon, including iCarly.

Then he got fired because apparently he was a huge jerk.
