What if blizzard did something really drastic and did win/loss brackets for bgs. players from teams that win get placed in a winners matchmaking bracket and players that lose get placed in a losers matchmaking bracket that way it feels more fair, you’re more likely to have 50% winrate and so people will actually be incentivized to try and play it rather than risk really bad loss streaks, and you don’t get qued into premades like 15 times in a row.
And if there’s not enough players such that the que time is longer then just que the loser bracket into the winning bracket but give the losing bracket determination stacks lol.
I had 2min queue times last night and after losing 6 in a row I tried to merc queue and it was 7min queue.
These matchups are completely one-sided, the whole alliance team is honor level 250-400 and I was usually the highest on horde at 90.
They’re doing stuff like chain gripping our healer into root beam 40 yards away, like is the whole enemy team on voice or something? It was a steamroll pubstomp all night.
Its been like that since the patch and its worse on bg week. Not saying winning is impossible as horde but you can definitely win easier as ally atm i have more wins as merc then horde
You’re losing because every horde is mercing. The people stupid enough not to merc are stuck losing, kinda like how the horde stupid enough not to blacklist AV and IOC were stuck getting thrown into every 40 man and losing.
I did both yesterday to check… 2 min Q for horde 5 min Q for ally.
when previous it was 1 min Q for ally and 10 min for horde.
What that tells me is that the vast majority of horde are Qing merc.
Which would also explain why my win rate is about 50/50
when normally much higher.
It has nothing to do with being horde or alliance. Back in time, horde factions had a better PVP racials. So a lot of PVPers preferred horde toons over alliances. BliZZzzZZzzz provided a solution (if you can call them solutions, as they often result in chaos!) and empowered alliances’ racial, nerfed hordes. As a result, a lot of PVPers now have alliances toons. You can see in “Arena World Championship”, in fact, all teams are playing with alliances races (popular ones, NE, Dwarf, Human)
Yes. I saw this enlistment bonus as well when the queues on horde were probably shorter. This went in line with extremely poor play on our horde teams.
Just guessing here but I seem to see an eb and flow in PvP whenever a new raid is opening or people get time gated.
The PvE-cetric Players use to just go back and do older runs till things opened up for them. Once in a while some of them would PvP for a few games, but now with the way the Gearing has been set up, more of these Players are entering into more PvP matches.
I mean, why wouldn’t they. These guys have good/best gear and with this have a slight advantage ( some say large advantage).
When new PvE content opens or a reset on raids and Mythic runs happens, a seemingly noticeable shift in the PvP Player base seems to take place.
