9 Niche Reasons You Die Faster Than You Should - AKA Like A Dog

  1. Willfully holding CD’s while healer is in CC for eternity and will not heal you. Then right when the CC is over lapping healer CD’s beause you painic your health is low. (especially a bad way to get your priest healers to void shift you at the same time you bubble, turtle, dispersion, or Cloak).

  2. Standing on blind spots while Damaging. You know when you are getting healed on a ramp such as Nokhudon Proving Grounds or any map with pillars Standing directly infront of the pillar your healer is healing you on is LOS unless they (your healer) actually run infront or to the side of the pillar (not actually being able to use the pillar to LOS CC) because YOU stand directly infront of the pillar. Same thing on the ramps on Nokhudon Proving Grounds or the upper Z axis of Black Rook Hold Arena if you stand directly next to the wall on those maps while your healer is ontop (probably healing you from safety or standing in a LOS position so they can follow up if you want to extend ) they they can not heal you.

  3. Spam running ontop of healer. The amount of hunters that freedom themselves and kite ontop of me every day is atleast in the solid 30 times a day. YOU make the game completely unhealable trying to run ontop of your healer all game. Heres a prime tip - RUN ONTOP OF THEIR HEALER or max range your own healer so they can heal you. It’s the worst thing on the planet when you need to Leap of faith (priest grip) your DPS to live vs a cleave and they are standing ontop of you dragging 3 melee. When they could be ontop of the other teams healer playing for CC giving you the space to heal and situationally peel or play offensively if they really play well and give space. This is even worse vs Assasination rouges or DKS they can just AOE the living hell out of your team and leads to you dying faster than you should.

  1. NOT pushing in when you need to and actually winning the game. IF you are standing BEHIND your healer then you are a cat. Pure and simple if your healer is litterally infront of you trying to push to end the game and your sitting 50 yards back behind a pillar on your side of the map you are soft. Just so you know if you play like this into any paladin team as any other healer in the game your chances of losing DRAMATICALLY increase. IF your healer pushes you push it’s simple. Check to see if they have CDS with your addons if so then maybe you aren’t as dead as you think you and playing back is making you lose slowly to dampening.
  2. Not pressing tremor or Blessing of Sanc (playing like Swole)
  3. When the other team forces an immunity out of your team mate and they swap to you and you refuse to press minor CD’s (even though they will never kill you they are just trying to bait a healer CD) you still refuse to press that 20% wall dont u. Well that CD pressed by your healer to make up for your error is one they don’t have for your partner the actual kill target.
  4. Leaving Psyfiends alive forever - it’s the best button in the game in shuffle kill it.
  5. Maximizing DPS over staying alive.
  6. REFUSING to dispersion at all - even in lobbies where if you pressed very early you would get 2 off - then pressing Void Shift in ways even god couldn’t fathom.

This is a huge one.

Use defensives when healer is ccd or when they pop cds. Use them HIGH on hp, not low (exceptions being stuff like lay/bub/disperse)

Sometimes yes, but usually no. The only point to be on the pillar is to line cc or cds, and if you’re just pveing anyways you’re griefing your healer.

Mostly yes, but the healers also need to move with the dps. As a boomy, I need to kite constantly vs dps or I die through any amount of healing. What that looks like usually is making circles around the map.

I always make a point to not stand on my healer, but if they plant then I will die for sure. Kiting is always a team activity!

Ya. Sometimes you NEED to play to win instead of playing to not lose. Healers AND dps need to recognize this win condition.

Ya, use your utility!

I think this is also situational.

If theyre using cds, it’s still good to defensive. If not, it can be better to save.

It takes 1-2 globals and saves your healer like 6 of healing. Worth almost every single time.

nah we needed more dps

:japanese_goblin:

You just added another reason

Remove the homie’s name.

swole u need to push 100 pts in blitz to get back into range. whats ur plan

Idk that dude won like 20 in a row and I fall asleep by like midnight. I think it might be Bigdam on a second bnet.

I’m just gonna queue up a few but I just can’t stay up until 6 am queueing right now.

Damage reduction abilities (shield walls) should be pressed almost as soon as enemy offensive cd’s are, not at 10% health. From a healers pov, I’d rather you just trade and send it at full health if you see something like ascendance, BW, icy veins, etc. It really helps with keeping offensive pressure up, and allows the healer to save their big cd’s for later in the game (and avoids the panic overlap situation you described)

Maybe this is generalizing/stereotyping, but warlocks seem to do this almost every single time, idk why

You just get exceptionally mad about the game with talking cows that use moon magic right

Marvel: Predominantly Teenage Boy Demographic
WOW: 30+ Year Old Male Demographic

See how that works.

I feel seen

Last superhero movie I watched was probably the second Ironman. You don’t have to like superheroes to enjoy the game.

It’s literally free and the gameplay is pretty decent quit your yapping and go try it.

This is hyper cope and you know it. 1 click on the profile and it’s the Dime a dozen never got 1800 until solo shuffle came out player.

As is most of the blitz ladder

Sorry got tilted cuz I over cooked my tri tip. You can pass that guy

I mean you can call it cope but you’re still at 2600. Winning that many games like that is pretty hard and I don’t think it’s something you can understand because you’re so low rated. But that shaman is from the same server as Bigdam and have we ever seen both in the same bg? I don’t think so. It’s just a theory tho and I’m not sure what could explain that win streak in MMR that’s hard to carry as he’s doing apparently.

Also, I have the mmr to get there even if I lose a bunch, but queues are too long and I’m already sleepy by 1am. Real 3700 queues don’t start until like 3-6 am

Yeah I got my strat in that memey bracket and have been pushing other stuff. Don’t lash out at me cuz a perma challenger took your spot Q up

I’m just explaining how your narrative is wrong.

Yes bigdam has 80 shamans with the same name but also a secret account where he struggles to hit elite in shuffle. I’m sure it’s MY narrative that’s wrong

I actually didn’t look at his shuffle rating. I said it’s a theory. He could be duo queue with a MW, or getting piloted, or who knows. Winning that much at that mmr isn’t that easy tho and I probably should have queued more the past week but I really don’t care. I was only in first place by accident. I wish I hadn’t so I could keep playing without worrying about dropping.

I mean I have the mmr to be in #1 place but my sleeping schedule doesn’t align with that right now and I can’t be bothered to change it :man_shrugging:
