Really? Then why do I have 36 alts? I have no problem with 8.2. As far as I can tell, nothing broke when 8.2 came out 2 weeks ago.
I think you have some weird definition of “to have an alt”, if it is something that became impossible starting 2 weeks ago.
That’s one of 2 ways to have a game. Blizzard chose the other one, way back in 2004.
That doesn’t make your preference wrong. It just doesn’t match this game. Maybe another MMO would fit you better.
I dunno, I have a fresh 120 that I’ve got almost full 385’s due to Benthic. (Still have questing trinkets/rings and a 370 weapon)
And with the new reps/profs, the old reps are now entirely out dated. Can’t imagine getting that toon to Raid Ready would be all too difficult if I actually wanted to.
Yes and no. If you are something like a paladin then yes all your spec essences are different unless you use a generic. On a warlock or hunter though you can use whatever in all 3 since all 3 specs are dps.
Why? I got this alt up to nearly 50 HoA in a week with almost a hundred manapearls and benthicked her up without even playing on her. It’s easy with BoA gear.
How are alts dead. I could make this toon ilvl 400 right now upgrading and buying more benthic armor on a whim…
Yeah, I must say that BfA has been really alt-friendly until 8.2. I’m actually taking a break indefinitely. If they release Vulpera, I will hop back on but I’m just too bored with it atm. It’s become nothing but daily chores. I know Vulpera wouldn’t change that but it would keep me entertained for a little while just playing one.
8.2 does seem like its just Busy Work… Long rep grinds , long quest lines , long achievement grinds . every day is a just a rinse and repeat.

2 hours farming yeah, I farm it on reset time where everything comes up, plus like every couple hours the event pops and it can reward up to 10 pearls.
Like once you learn where everything is, and how frequent spawns are, it’s really easy to get tons of pearls. Casually as hell you can get them.
8.2 finally made it attractive to level up alts - instant gearing (literally took my 256 mage to 388 over 2 days) and then you can use the alts to feed your main proc’d Benthics if you like.
sounds like no life farming rares thats not fun to me.
thats the easy part because the gear cost 5mp at the start then 20 to upgrade now try to get over 405 on each alt that take 50mp then get grind that neck ap on all alts and get the essences.
dont for get the rep grind for essences.if all you cared about was the easy gear you could have leveled your alts in the 12m wait for 8.2…lol.
Oh yeah, for sure, if I were still in a raiding guild I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking my alts to raid progression just with the quickly snatched-up Benthic/WQ gear - but I would completely feel fine on farm runs, which is all you can ask for alts. It’s the most generous catch-up I can recall (too generous of course).

what did you do then in the 12 month time between 8.1.5 and 8.2 i level 5 120’s and got 3 to ilvl 400.
i find that when people say this is really an alt friendly patch are the same people that didnt do anything during the 12 months.i guess its alt friendly for lazy people.
Yeah, I miss Legion. I had every class to max level and even multiples of certain ones for different races and stuff.
Wish they hadn’t gotten rid of that or the ability of tabards to be used as a way to get small amounts of rep.
I’d say we likely will never see interesting stuff like that again rep wise because of the whole ‘paragon’ cache system, but it’s not like they can’t have the bonus set up to cut off for that character when you hit exalted for the first time with said character.
Bro your being told how to easily farm pearls in Small amount of time, designed for casual play.
The gear given can get up to heroic level, and is very easy to obtain, from class missions, rares, quests, events, pvp loot.
It’s not the devs problem you think going out and killing a handful rares is no lifing, because it’s really not, it’s not even a grind it’s so pathetically easy to acquire.
To be fair, even going back to Vanilla this game has never been very alt friendly. There have been times where it’s been less alt unfriendly, granted, such as in Cata, but those are the exceptional times…
I have to agree, because the essense system makes you grind more than legion stuff with less value…now we all just grind REP AND WQ…and my alts cant are screwed because i dont have 10 days in 1 day! I need my essenses too? Either make it account wide or you are gonna lost more people than you can fathom
