It could be a burnout, I still enjoy leveling tank specs up to lv110 since I can spam dungeons, lay back and just play. Idk if the term “grind” would be accurate, I’d call it doing chores. I don’t want to farm reputation but the longer I take, the longer I have to deal with the awful terrain and mobs. I think I’m just having Tannan Jungle flashbacks.
I was super excited 8.2 was coming and I could fly. But then there’s Mechagon and Nazjatar.
Lore is ridiculous. How come Queen Azshara takes all that water away and let all her enemies stay in her zone? Nonsense.
Apart from that, I’m glad we don’t have to swim. Istill have post traumatic stress disorder when I think of Vashj’ir.
I hate everything about Mechagon. I don’t want to think about what should I do to get my quest done. I want to hit, loot, deliver quests, get my rep and FLY.
Nazjatar ups and downs didn’t bother me, at least there are roads. Way better than Broken Shore or anywhere in Draenor. But all those stupid quests you gotta move all over the place without indication on the map on where and how to make it? It makes me google all the time, and if I need to google out too many quests and watch youtube videos, I’d better watch other things on youtube and forget about WoW.
It’s not immersive. Everything about 8.2 is stressing.
I am one of those who are seeing people flying, when I,m still halfway honored, and really, I don’t have a clue on how these people got the rep because not even wowhead has a decent rep grind guide.
I have a ton of alts, and I want to do other things with them… while FLYING.
I swear I won’t ever go back to grind any of these 2 zones once I hit revered. I don’t even care for the damn mounts.
WHen Draenor came, I though the devs would give up from Pathfinder on Legion. I was wrong. Then I thought they would give up from Pathfinder on BFA, and I was wrong.
Devs are killing the game with this flying gating.
I swear, next xpac is a dealbraker. This is the last time I will grind pathfinder in my life.
Season 3 is exactly the same as season 2.
Grind Azerite
Grind reputations
Grind gear from the same dungeons I ran literally hundreds of times in S2.
The feedback has been there for a long time and they haven’t done anything about it for months. People constantly say “the art and music team killed it!” But compared to FFXIV, this game looks like a 12 year old kid mashed up some purple and brown clay for Nazjatar and mechagon, then played a couple notes on a xylophone.
I think you’re not enjoying BFA because the classes are not fun to play (or as fun as they were in previous expansions, such as Legion (which was the expansion directly before BFA) or MOP). If a class is unfun then how can the player truly enjoy the world and it’s content? If a class is enjoyable then a tedious grind for rewards is not nearly as bad, right?
I don’t get why people say that. That’s always just making excuses’ for poor content. Awesome class design doesn’t make up for shoddy content.
No I’m not enjoying BFA because of a lot of reasons listed in this post. I don’t hate WoW, I am very bored of its recent and current state. It doesn’t FEEL like an MMO.
I was playing FFXIV today and there are hunts similar to Rares in nazjatar. I was mining and saw like 40 oddly shaped shadows woosh past me on the ground. I turned my camera up and saw the biggest group of people I have seen in the same instance since like 2010. My frames dropped from 40+ people all on different mounts in an open world, but it was worth it.For the first time in years I thought “this is what a good MMO feels like” . The rewards for those hunts aren’t even that good, but the fights are super fun, 20+ player world bosses.
The developers for WoW have lost sight of how to work fun into the reward system. Now you are doing what they say, when they say, and getting what they give you for it. Don’t think so? I guarantee you grinded out flying, as fast as you could, right when the patch dropped.
If you have a problem with this, I think this game is just not for you anymore. Also, Final Fantasy? Please… that Japanese looking game will never come close to WoW. YIKES!
yeah it looks great until you realize you’re surrounded by weeb trash
Can’t stomach 1 more day of dailies in nazjatar. That place is horrible, almost hate it as much as the underwater place. But it might just take #1 and be the worst zone in wow history in my eyes. I’m 1200 rep from flying, waiting on the nazjatar emissary to pop, will do 4 more world quests and will prob never go back. I don’t even think flying could make it better for me. But we will see, it might help enough.
I’m having more fun in it right now than WoW.
But that’s my opinion.
Honestly 8.2 didn’t meet my expectations. Just not into it. Plus I decided to stay grounded in this expansion. Screw Pathfinder bcuz it was a mistake to be added in the game. 8.2 made me realize that. I shouldn’t play content I don’t like in order to get flying. Also does anyone even use the vendors of the factions. I sure don’t.
Im with yah i think i just quit 10 mins ago i cant stand another second in naj or mech!!!
I feel and share your pain.
Make sure to level up your follower asap. Some of them do a ridiculous amount of damage.
I don’t care for the new zones either so I don’t stay longer than necessary in them. I mostly only do the puzzle quests and pet battles unless my character needs pearls then I will do the quicker quests that give those as well. I did do everything for 6 days though so I could get flying.
I grinded out revered on both zones for flying and now I have no interest in ever going back to either of them.
I’ve been wanting to make this thread, but you articulated it better than I could. No whining, just the facts. I love this game, too, but 8.2 has me thinking about quitting again.
WHY would they design it this way??? BFA already feels like a small expansion. Now you have almost everyone crammed into these two tiny zones. Annoying and NOT FUN
I agree. I think mechagon is the definite winner of this patch. It’s weird to me that it feels like the main star when nazjatar was supposed to be the emphasis of the patch.
Mechagon has lovely writing, fun crafting systems, accessable reward (unlocked with some work) and decent rare spawn times.
The only thing I like about nazjatar are the puzzle chests.
