id rather go play my eso necromancer then a tinker.
Blizzards response to feedback for 9.0
Nice list, a few things Iād like to comment on.
Iād be ok with them allowing both factions to do dungeons, raid, and maybe join guilds together seeing as how that does happen in lore and it would help with PvE issues.
But Humans and Night Elves being able to run around Orgrimmar? Yeah no. If I see an ally walking around Org, Iād rather kill them, not fistbump them.
Factions have been a core part of this franchise and while they could do a better job of portraying it, removing them isnāt really the best route to go down imo.
I have to disagree here, I donāt think they should be putting more stuff on the store let alone races.
A better way to get around the issue you described above would be if they made it to where in order to unlock a specific factionās allied race, youād need to be exalted with the opposite factionās equivalent reputation for that race.
An example of this would be if you wanted to unlock Dark Iron Dwarves but you main Horde youād need to be Exalted with the Honorbound as that is Hordeās equivalent of the 7th Legion faction.
Ok so unpopular opinion incoming:
I am happy with the way they are handling flying. If they had added flying in too soon, world pvp would just turn into people floating in the air staring at eachother as opposed to actually fighting.
And now Iām going to add my own personal item to your list.
PvP Vendors - Legion and BFA have had the most horrid gearing systems for PvP in this gameās life. In Legion, the gear was completely random with random stats. In BFA, they put the gear on a fixed schedule mixed with random rewards. However, the conquest bar itself feels so grindy and the rewards you get at the end of it are barely worth it. The first reward was a 410 weapon yet I already had two 410 daggers coming into this patch. The next reward is a 415 piece yet all of my gear is already 415 item level and above. Because of this, many PvPāers now have to do PvE in order to be competitive as it is much more efficient.
Please just bring back the vendor system. Nobody likes the current system and the arguments that the game director presented against it make no sense at all. Currencies are not difficult to understand, you just gave PvEāers an Azerite gear vendor and Island Expeditions have one too. Finding the vendor is not an issue at all. In fact, once you fill the bar you literally have to go to an NPC and turn in a quest to get the piece of gear you earned.
Have it work similar to the WoD system. Using 8.2ās raid item levels as an example:
Honor gear in PvE should be item level 400 but scale up to 430 when you enter PvP combat.
Conquest gear in PvE should be item level 415 but scale up to 445 when you enter PvP combat.
It could be that simple but instead, theyād rather have us go through a system that turns many (myself included) off from wanting to do instanced PvP as a way of gearing.
Unfortunately, that isnāt Blizzards style. You will have to earn rep to get access to the feature and then earn rep with the feature in order to progress at all in 9.0.
Tinker class requires exalted with Mechagon Ruatbolts. And then you head down to the embassy and complete a quest chain
Nah, they can lock furniture and decorations behind rep, raiding, pvp, etc. The base feature would probably be given to us.
I like your solution for allied races. The āleaksā said store⦠id be ok with that, but yours is just as good. To be honest, for the first allied races I thought thats how it worked anyway because it made so much sense. I realize the store is a polarizing thing in general. I probably mind it way less than most.
I meant just instanced content for faction barriers. Not cities. Wanna meet up and trade w other faction? Do it on the down low in the world lol im with you there. Guilds would be nice though if only for chat and bank access and stuff.
Maybe even cross faction guild housing/hubs were you can mingle like your own private deal outside of org and SW. Thatd be sweet. Form your own little sub faction.
I like this. Itās like a meme being wished into existence. Like black mirror episode.
also. Not going to happen.
You know how Blizzard feels about player housing so that probably wonāt happen.
As long as they donāt kill world pvp then I wonāt care what they do.
Sadly, i do, but its also the same thing I disagree with in terms of transmog rules - their stance that allowing a high degree of customization will detract from the overall polish and āprofessionalismā of the game. That didnt happen with Wildstar. People made really cool things. And you dont need to go that far, but something much more customizable than garrisons would be the idea. Not allowing objects to float in space? Fine. But more than just plug and play art asset buildings imo.
Hopefully we get there one day. Players I really think would love it. A profession around crafting housing items. Rare items and trophies in content. It could be awesome. Hopefully they reconsider.
No it really isnāt. Hasnāt been since Warcraft 3. You know when the Orcs left the Eastern Kingdoms to end the conflict with the Alliance so they could live in peace and then we put our differences aside to save the world from the Legion and Arthas.
Thatās what WoW is known for is what Iām getting at. You take that barrier down⦠Lol watch the subs fall faster than they did in WoD.
I disagree. I doubt subs would change much at all. For the few who would leave over such a change there is likely just as many who would come back because they could play with their friends on the other faction.
This is a problem manufactured by the player, not the devs.
The players are greedy, and see anything short of BiD as nothing more then garbage. Thatās not the devs problems you decided to roll pearls unnecessarily, itās a you problem.
how about no
I donāt know about the rest of you but i do NOT want to grind out any azerite with the alts. At all. Not gonna happen willingly. If I get some thru quests or do a rare WQ or two, well, neat⦠But I am not going to put effort into it. And as we are all well aware, this KILLS your specs. My 120 warrior has the first ring unlocked and thatās it, on his helm. It is too much of a slog. I can see why they donāt want azerite level to be account wide but you know, i just donāt care; It isnāt enjoyable on alts. ![]()
Disagree. You could argue āthatās a player problemā for everything then. Its not a player problem that sockets (and procs) are so powerful that benthic socketed gear is on par with mythic raid pieces - thats just not great design, to be honest. Plus, removing sockets or adding a BoA item is an easy fix. The issue is as much the fact that its RNG as much as it is the result. Rolling 50 pairs of bracers doesnt feel great, but if it was 50 pearls t least it has a visible light at the end of the tunnel.
You could argue someone being crazy about split raids or relentlessly pursuing titanforged or warforged gear is a player issue and I would agree. Those are true rng, but there is a cooldown associated (lockouts). This has no cooldown and SHOULD be obtainable. Its fools gold basically that one player rolls one pair and nails, and someone else rolls 100 pair and wants to punch his monitor.
Different animal that is (frustratingly) easily fixable if they wanted to, and shouldnt have occured to begin with.
My issue with Blizzard is stuff like this, azerite, legiondaries, etc always start out WAY too conservative and by the time they fix it, its not as impactful as it couldve been. They just need to react faster to feedback imo.
Look into something and promising they would change things if someone complains are two different things. And account wide essences for alts arenāt needed, I am nearing on having at least 2 rank 3s on 4 character right now and I have just been playing them in the content I normally do.
Itās not complaining. Itās feedback. They wouldnāt be aware there are issues otherwise - feedback changes a lot of things. Your opinion and view is just as valid as mine - Iām glad you like it! Thatās the purpose of a post like this - to get varying opinions and express concerns. Blizz will ultimately decide what to do from there.
I donāt want everything to be handed to alts, but locking the essences behind rep is one issue. Another I have is just how they have divided the essences among all the content in the game. I would imagine pvp-ers donāt want to raid to get essences as much as pve-ers dont want to pvp (and not JUST pvp but obtain rating, cap conq, farm BQ honor, etc), to get pve essences. Some people dislike islands, etc. I think a better solution if not even doing anything for alts would just be a currency that ANY content in the game awarded that would allow you to target and buy essences and ranks you needed. That would solve a lot of issues. Sort of like they finally did for legion-daries, but then it was too late. I have guildies that have put 50 HOURS into farming honor for essences who donāt really WANT to pvp. I refuse, personally. Some might call that a player issue but, I think the system could be redesigned to avoid that and achieve the same result of people playing the game.
Again, if you like it though, great - youāre certainly free to!
Wrong.
