So no casting, unknown players and basically world server lag when I’m actually able to log on is happening because of this server issue?

It freezes trying to login to the server sometimes. Sometimes when I get past that the character selection screen is black. It usually freezes after selecting my character though at about 60% on the load bar. I got in once, but everyone was running in place and I couldn’t interact with anything.
That is completely and utterly untrue. I have well over 20 days of game time credit since released in 2004. All of it in the early years when things went down for days at a time.
When it is Blizzard’s fault, and it results in a day or so of down time, they have compensated players with free game time.

It looks like FIOS is using some type of encapsulation of the packets (possibly for security). Not much we can do about that.

Once again, try enabling IPv6 via your router settings and then enable them in game. For those who don’t have the option under router settings it’s likely the setting in game isn’t going to do much good. I’ve tested this with both accounts that I couldn’t get to log in even 15 minutes ago, both work flawlessly now across different realms and characters.
I also tried this with wifes account which wasn’t working and it solved the issue.
Again might not be related or an option for alot of people but for those who can do it, give it a shot.

Well, my game is still stuck on logging in. My fiance came home from work and was able to log into his account immediately, sitting across the room from me…on the same IP.

I know many of us use WoW as an escape from the hassles of work and other aspects of “real” life, but really, now: is there anything in your life where people owe you anything you didn’t earn, even if you pay them the princely sum of $15 a month to access their service?
If the answer is “Yes,” you lead a much more sheltered life than I ever have.
But yeah, I’d like the service to be up, too. From where I’m sitting, watching my trace route time out after about 10 hops, it looks like a Border Gateway Protocol or other name service/routing poisoning… or a really popular video becoming available for streaming. Hope it gets fixed soon.
