no it wont last they gave up so should you.they are waiting for beta which will be most likely around when eso releases its chapter in the summer thats how blizz does things usually.
I want the game to get better but blizzards past speaks for itself. They are making the game worst each patch and each expac, the only good thing they did in years was artifact weapons in legion.
In case this one flew straight over your head…
OP is taking subtle jabs at alliance retail population. It’s been a trendy thing lately.
unless complaining is half the fun for you then just come on over to horde.
But if you have already decided it won’t…why stick around?
You’ve already reached your conclusion.
Here is the door.
It’s not my choice, its blizzard. They have decided to kill off a good game.
“subtle jabs”
this expac was so bad it actually caused one faction to complete collapse.
I’m really not seeing this yet.
I do agree we are headed for the mother of all content droughts. Last one I unsubscribed and likely will again.
Yep. Been logged in since ~8:30am
Not the first time, not the last… it’ll survive.
Of course it will ill be gone for while myself playing new games and it has nothing to do with BFA i loved it from day one more to do with im getting older and want to play newer games lately.Took me 15 years when i finally want to try newer games lol.
Its not your choice to continue playing a game you feel has no chance of every getting what you feel is good?
It survived over a year of SoO, and the final patch of WoD. I think it’ll be fine. Especially with all the shadowlands worms I see flying around.
There been a lot of content droughts in the past that WoW has survived. If you find it so unbearable then take a break and come back with 9.0 patch goes live. That is pretty much the normal for a normal person to do. If they don’t like playing something then they take a break and find something else to spend their time on.
And right here is where Blizz, if they were even reading (they weren’t) stopped caring.
Reading through the replies here made me laugh , let me sum it up for you using carrots !
Lets go fair in this to , 50% of the humans dislike carrots and think the product is bad/should go away/wont get any better , while the other 50% actually like carrots , they enjoy it daily with moderation and can never get enough .
Now what are the carrots producer are gonna do about that ? Should they even care about the 50% that dont like carrots at this point ? At the risk of losing what you gain to please them , it’ll simple become 50% of the people like celery while 50% dont …
This thread is just about has useless has those thread who complain about older stuff they did . Suggestions and if you dont like the game go play something else , this was never meant to PLEASE EVERYONE . Refer to my example above .
This is just my opinion and you can take it or leave it really.
If you starting to feel that playing a game is becoming a chore or like coming into work and doing the same thing every day. Then maybe you are playing the game for the wrong reasons. You could always come into the game and say to yourself, that you are going to do something different. farm for some materials and sell on the auction house, level up another profession, jump on another alt and play them for a while.
Hell what my friends and I did was created a hardcore challenge where we level fresh new characters and see how far we can get without dying or see how far we can get from one side of the world to the other as level 1’s. We just find new ways to enjoy playing the game instead of coming in every day to do the same stuff.
Or… take a break from the game for a bit and come back later more refreshed. Just like wiping a lot in raids or being dominated in PVP matches. Take a step back and take a break and do something else for a bit and come back later feeling more refreshed and have a fresh mind of playing.
I basically skip playing WoW like 4-7 days of the week and I still gather enough visions to get my vessel and do maybe 1-2 Horrific Vision runs a week to get my cloak upgrade and try to progress further than what I did last week.
I think the test will be a week or two after rank 15 cloaks hit the market.
Guessing the huge drop off will start at that point at will continue until Shadowlands.
The only mitigating factor might be all the classic refugees that have a TON of things to catch up on.
That is generally what happens on every expansion at the very last patch. People get done with that current content and then stop playing till the next big expansion comes out of the new pre expansion patch.
But every time you go through this cycle a percentage of the player aren’t coming back. I would imagine the larger the break, the larger the percentage. Breaking cycles of habit and addiction.
And the number of people not coming back is probably substantially larger than the number of new players they can attract. Although classic is probably helping with that issue a bit depending on how many of the players they can convert to retail.
I suspect the lesson that will be learned is they need to staff and manage appropriately for alternating minor / major patch every 3 months with a minor epilogue patch 3 months after the last major and 3 months before the next expansion.
Not a fairly disastrous last patch, no epilogue, and 8-12 months of paying a subscription that isn’t generating content for you since you’ll have to pay full price for the next patch.
