The Radeon 7K series is a train wreck right now. Performance ranges from being slower than the 6K series to being neck in neck with the RTX 4090 even with raytracing. We’re seeing people tweak the 7K Radeons to consume less power and get more perf so the cards is not ready to comparison.
Mind you we haven’t seen the big Radeon 7K cards yet. The current 7900 XTX is the mid-range die that’s competing with the big die RTX 4090. If AMD can fix the 7K problems we might have a nice card.

The Radeons outshine Nvidia cards when you start getting into more heavy scenes (ie raids and large scale PVP). The DX12 overhead on the Nvidia driver is higher than that on Radeons:
