I know I’m a skinflint. I’m retired and make only so much each month. Having a new expac coming out every 12-15 months would kill me (or rather, my wife might when she sees the bank statement)

But also, Ion in interviews has said he kinda wishes that Metzen did not say that. They’ve been clear that these expansions are not going to be shorter, they’re going to be full expansions. Them being shorter or patch-like is an assumption the playerbase has made.

I guarantee you this is not accurate, if expansion cycles were suddenly 3 years instead of 2 everyone would be screaming about the end of WoW. What a lot of people have been saying is that they want to go back to having four full raids per expansion, which I honestly don’t think is very realistic with how the game is currently developed.

Personally, I love expansions, and the Worldsoul Saga is a definite breath of fresh air. I’m glad we’re continuing a story over 3 that last roughly 2 years, from what we can assume.

Exactly! I don’t understand why people think this would be any different than any other expansion, it’s simply stating the 3 will be linked in terms of storyline.

I guess technically the next 3 expansions are just that, a single large expansion of the game universe titled The Worldsoul Saga.
But yes, it’s all about the $, and WoW players will pay it.
Maybe but them cutting corners isn’t exactly outside their wheelhouse. If they made a p r faux pas then they should get ahead of it.
Not really since people go thro content so fast, faster content is better only complaints i see is that people dont wanna pay more often
I’m sure some people just want to be intentionally misleading but some people just… take things way too literally. It’s always been a thing but it’s also a trend that seems to be ticking upwards lately. Or maybe I’m just old and more aware of it now.

Tbh, paying $50 or whatever it is and getting 3 raids, all the dungeons and countless zones that only require you to pay $15 a month is the cheapest premium entertainment on earth. IDK how they haven’t restructured this a very long time ago.
