Naxxramas Raid Testing – November 4

Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4, we will continue our raid tests in Naxxramas.

2:00 p.m. PDT (5:00 p.m. EDT) to 6:00 p.m. PDT (9:00 p.m. EDT)

Bosses Available:

  • Sapphiron
  • Kel’thuzad

This testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Q: How do I get into the raid zone?
A: To facilitate and expedite testing, there is an NPC named Johnny McWeaksauce that has taken up temporary residence at Light’s Hope Chapel in Eastern Plaguelands. He will provide players with Naxxramas attunement and instant teleportation into the Naxxramas raid. Johnny’s brother Jimmy, can be found within the raid and will provide access to consumables and reagents.

Q: Can I test with less than a full, content-ready raid group?
A: There will be a zone aura present within the raid that will provide players with a significant health and damage boost, as well as some Frost Resistance, to help them overcome the challenges of Naxxramas. The intent of these raid tests is not to provide a challenge that perfectly matches what we expect players to experience when the raid goes live. The intent is to exercise boss mechanics and give us additional confidence that the raid encounters are behaving as expected. The hope is that even if you cannot muster a full 40-person raid to test with, or wish to form a pick-up-group on the PTR, you can still participate and make considerable progress within the dungeon if you so desire.

Please use the in-game bug reporter to send us any bug reports or issues that you encounter while playtesting on the PTR. We appreciate you taking the time to test this content, and we look forward to your feedback.

Thanks for the update Kaivax :kissing_heart:

Cant wait for shadowlands. So much fun on my shadow preist.

This is a huge shock to see a final boss to be available for testing, now people can see if they even need that much frost res gear.

well, I guess it depends how much free fr the ptr is giving, if its like 300, kinda moot point

So not only are you overlapping the shadowlands raid with naxx release, but you’re letting everyone kill the final boss of classic on ptr too? lame

Probably because so many people complained about Cthun bugs. Blizzard can’t win with the classic community.

I mean, if the speed guilds want to do a PTR run of the fight that is super undertuned to practice let them. Guess what there are plenty of people that will still do it afterwards that dont care what the speed community does on the PTR for 4 hours.

For a few hours in the middle of the week right after election day with an insanely overpowering buff and free frost resistance.

Who cares?

Not to alarm you but Kel’Thuzad isn’t a secret. The encounter has been public knowledge for 14 years, thousands of people have done it already.

Aq40: blizz why didn’t you let us ptr test cthun to avoid bugs???

Naxx: blizz you seriously letting people kill bosses on ptr before launch???

Blizzard literally cannot win with you lemmings, good grief

I think this is the first time I’ve ever agreed with you on something.

Because the cthun bugs

Still not fixed btw, crazy you think they really care about that stuff and are not just cheaping out on the QA

What bug specifically is still in?

The percentage of players who actually care is ridiculously miniscule. You need to get out of the echo chamber that is the WoW forums.

Its more likely he hears the outrage from a streamer he watches and then repeats it like a good little sheeple.

Somebody test the spell pen and report back

Let me know if Blessings from MC’d paladins do weird things to KT

original bug was cthun didnt beam for the first 10 seconds, they fixed it by having him automatically beam 3 times shortly after entering combat

the bug where he doesnt start beaming normally until 10 seconds is still in the game besides that “fix”.

I mean that’s not a bug, just how the fight worked after 1.12.
