Cata was some of the most fun I ever had in Warcraft…

I love WoW- but that doesn’t mean I can’t be critical about its short comings and want it to improve or be better. I pay for it because I’ve been a fan of Blizzard, and this franchise, playing since 2004. If you genuinely care about something you want it to succeed and be as good as it can possibly be. Turning a blind eye and just letting it degrade without fighting for them to do better, in my opinion, is worse. That’s how game companies die- when their fans don’t care enough to tell them and just leave.

Blizzard is lucky to have fans that care enough to tell them “yo, this is bad, I’m still here” without just leaving outright.

I’m not a Blizzard employee that rumor can be put at rest now

I wish though but that means I’d have to move to California and I’m not doing that ever

What’s wrong with Cali clarkster?

grabs popcorn

Technically you can work for Blizzard in Austin- but they have a horrible reputation here for under paying and being a toxic workplace.

napkin math, I think my number comes to $260 (of someone else’s money) Still, well’s run dry.

At this point I’m toying around with the idea of covenant swapping my monk a third time…would be something to do.

This thread is silly, of course, but if you want to entertain this line of reasoning at least do it accurately.

The Shadowlands expansion cost $39, if someone chose to pay more it was for other products/services.

Wildfires, earthquakes for starters

Don’t like hot summers

What I really want to live at is Alaska and I’m trying to do so

Their summer temperature is 60 to 70s, I like that alot

I disagree with that.

I think Clark is a little over the top at times, but it is possible to play WoW and enjoy it for what it is. I do, I love playing WoW. I have complaints, but they’re very minor. Things like, “if I steal a mount from a dude in the Maw, it should stay around until I’m dismounted or voluntary dismiss it; having it on a timer is dumb.”

Also, the developers are just people doing a job. They’re not out to purposely frustrate you or kill the game or anything like that, because they want to keep their jobs. Most of them do have great passion for the game, as does QA and all the other departments. And I can say that I know that for a fact, and I am also not a Blizzard employee.

What an overreaction.

Yeah, everyone agrees 9.0 has been going on too long before an update. We get it. It has nothing to do with Ethics.

It’s ok to unsubscribe if you feel like you’re not getting your money’s worth right now.

I don’t understand how people get this worked up over a video game.

Even if Shadowlands had never been released, people would still have to pay the monthly fee to access the WoW servers in order to play the game, so the monthly access fee is not part of the price of an expansion. Please, stop conflating the two in an attempt to make the patch delay seem more egregious than it really is.

All I say is I like the expansion and it bothers people

Never understand this

Its not a bad place to live, a lot of my friends live or have lived there. It seems like not everyone gets used to the reduction in sunlight hours.

Same reason people get mad over their sports team not sporting hard enough- go figure people have emotions and care about things. :upside_down_face:

That’s a slap in the face to Raistlinn.

7 months, to simplify things lets just say 30 days a month so 210 days.

210 days, 24 hours in a day, 5040 hours potential play time.

Obviously 5040 hours is not practical so how about we take 10% of that. 504 hours played in 7 months.

165$ / 504 hours, 0.33$ per hour.

It’s apparently unethical and a slap in the face to charge someone 33 cents per hour of entertainment.

The sportsball analogy to this would be whining about paying $100 or whatever for a ticket and then their team loses, and how unethical that is. What a slap in the face!

“I paid $100 to have a good time at the sportball thunder dome and #Team didn’t do a points in the 4th. This is a slap in the face and unethical and absolutely insulting to all the loyal fans who paid to see this train wreck of a game!”

Sounds like every Texan’s game ever.

I rented the new Bill and Ted movie on amazon last night. It was more expensive than that and it was on sale!

Was worth it for nostalgia alone FYI.
