If i pugged… id be skeptical of FOTM classes. Many people start playing them to get an edge and have no idea what they are doing
How is one person gonna kick the whole party?
The group lead can kick whomever they want
Oh right…
That would be griefing though. Pretty sure thats something that can be penalized if reported?
Chances your key will not be bricked or have any leavers with pre-made groups from:
- WoW M+ communities with strict rules about ditching/grieving keys. Most likely the encounter will be recorded, screenshot proof of chat exchanges between players (if any).
- Guilds who perform M+ collectively and regularly. Group as a whole usually agrees/disagree to ditch the key or keep pressing on for completion.
- Friends are less likely to ditch a key unless you’re in agreeance with each other leaving it.
Chances of your key being bricked or leavers from:
- PUGs (that’s pretty obvious) from group finder. Unknown people from anywhere.
- Under performing players i.e., low DPS, doesn’t adhere to basic M+ mechanics, poor knowledge of class/spec (not utilizing CC, INTs, ect), poor knowledge of dungeon mechanics (i.e. puzzles, routes, ect)
- Players inviting low ilvl players to high keys for a “carry”.
- Leavers on trash pulls when group wipes.
- Leavers on boss pulls when group wipes.
Most of these occurrences are PUG related. This is why on RIO, all of these keys +10 and above are majority of players who are pre-made groups rolling keys. Sure, you could get lucky in timing your M+10 from a pug, but that’s really pushing it. That’s the chances you get when you roll the PUG dice.
I have to agree with some of the people in here, I would not waste MY time on a group that I feel cannot perform that of the key being conducted or beyond the capabilities of the group. Why? Am I bound by blood oath not to leave your key because the group can’t even get past the 1st boss on multiple attempts? Absolutely not. That right there set the precedence on how the group performs and usually puts the players in an uneasy state not feeling confident in the groups ability to time the key. This is where the “fight or flee” kicks in. Sometimes, they’ll give the group the benefit of the doubt by “everyone deserves a second chance” (not every one thinks that), but as the saying goes “Past performance dictates future behaviors”. So, just be ready for someone pulling the trigger on leaving your key if things don’t improve.
You’re delusional if you think ppl don’t have the right to leave a key due to poor performance and should receive a deserter debuff for 7 days because YOU are part of the same problem. Absolutely wild.
Yikers. So, its ok for unskilled players to make a key take far longer and hold the other 4 people hostage? But it’s not ok to leave a key that is doomed? Did we get everything right here?
IDK, I think this players deserves a game vacation because it was intentional bricking & deserting for no good decent reason.
Things like the above make me think maybe punishments should be heavier
7 day debuff is too short. It should be at least 6 months.
It would also be griefing if someone kick another person from their party because of XYZ reason and impose the same stamp on them. It can be abused too many ways.
For example, if I want to end a dungeon but the majority votes no, what’s to stop me from logging off and play an alt instead? Those guys will either have to wait for me to come back online and leave the group, or they will have to leave the group before me and get their “left a key before it’s finished”. They can of course try to 4-man it to avoid that stamp, but that would also let me (the guy who logged off) avoid that stamp.
There’s simply more downsides than upsides, and that makes it a bad change.
They should get trapped into a permanent clown illusion! The illusion can only be dispelled after running 3 LFRs.
Early season this is true, but as you approach mid and late season, timing a 10, or even a 12 (where rewards stop) in a pug is more and more possible as people get gear, learn the dungeons, etc. Once you get beyond the reward area though, most are likely to be set groups or at least those that will only drop if the key won’t be timed as that is all they are after at that point.
Do that and watch the M+ player base shrink to record lows.
The tighter you clinch your fist to control people the more will slip thru your grasp.
Is this your main you are posting on?
well you dont actually lose rating but anyone looking you up on on raider io can see your fail rate its not like pvp where a fail drops points off your score once you have the key timed you can never lose that score
Fixing M+ isn’t hard and it doesn’t start from a dysgenic need to punish people you think are breaking imaginary rules.
Here, I’ll fix M+ for you-
1: Your key no longer breaks from failing to time a dungeon. In fact, nothing happens to it. Go run the dungeon again.
2: Blizzard adds a mapping tool that lets you plan and see exactly what you’ll need to kill to clear the dungeon without wasting time on unnecessary kills or having to back-track.
3: Less clown vomit, more communication. The game does a better job of communicating things like mechanics and performance.
yeah I joined a floodgate tank pulled with healer sorta afk at start goes up the right pulls everything afks in saw blades dies 5 minutes and a few repeats after that packs are still alive 26 deaths in one dps leaves who can blame them I stayed cause I wanted to see where the tank was going with this sorta like a train wreck in progress never seen sawblades as top damage taken as a tank before
Yeah. You would be since you tie your existence to a video game.
Your good is what a psychologist would call “Troublesome”
It’s been four days, and you’re back at it again, eh?
Anyway, enjoy ignore lol.
Do you tie your existence to trolling? Seems like there’s a better use for one’s time.
Maybe should speak to your psychologist why you’re so up people’s butts, that aren’t your own.
man youre delusional.
maybe try a bit harder so people dont dip as soon as they see your tank dmg,
Says the guy who requoted me?
Your entire life is wow and thats sad dude
