What stars have to align for a 6.6m chaos bolt? I havent had any over 5 million and most are between 1.5-2.5m
I was healing a shuffle earlier today and saw a 4mil chaos bolt. Also, I saw the same lock go like 70-0 to a 7.1mil spell reflect in the same roundâŚdoes spell reflect amp the spell or something?

Hammer of light doesnt do over 2.5M (high end) fully buffed and more like 1.6M most of the time please stop. Its so bad there are many conspiracies as to why the spell is doing so little damage, people claiming bugs, hidden nerfs, double dipping nerfs. Who knows.

Even with the increased damage taken tanks are tanking just fine in pvp. Have you tried 1v1 a blooddk over a node? Good luck

It actually does if you swap talents. Thereâs currently a bug. As I noted in a few posts now:
I did some testing on my ret paladin in pvp over the course of a few days and it appears that the lack of Hammer of Light damage is tied to Seething Flames. With normal wings and no SF and with all the usual modifiers up I was hitting harder, sometimes up to 4.5 mil, with Hammer of Lights in my 2v2 games as well as skirmishes using Honor gear. Even on the low end it was doing more than I was doing with crits with HoL using SF with Crusade.
SF reduces damage but causes the additional hits for Wake of Ashes as expected but also seems to reduce Hammer of Light damage even to the main target based on my testing. Hammer of Light replaces Wake of Ashes and in 11.1 they âfixedâ Hammer of Light modifiers but I believe they applied the SF modifier to HoL at this time.
If I do not talent Seething flames my Hammer of Light hits harder in arenas. This is a problem of course as it means you need to run a different build until this gets fixed. Even with that harder hit paladins are not that that powerful, but it does help a lot. I just wanted to share what I found after some testing.
The PVP dummy does not get all of the instanced PVP changes applied to it so it is not a good way to test unfortunately. This has been the case since at least S2 in DF and is not limited to paladins. It appears some changes are not applied outside of instanced PVP. Duels and World PVP also fit into this category. I would like that fixed as well so it is easier to test new changes that are currently being implemented inconsistently.
Really? in honor gear and pvp rings mine have been a consistent 3.8-4.5 somewhere round there

That might be why you got hit so hard (probably while he had infernal buff up too). Normal chaos bolts donât do 6.6 M

I hit 2.5M in s1 in rss (a crit). Its pretty clear the damage was nerfed somewhere / changed when they âreworkedâ hammer of light.
yeah itâs pretty clearly a bug since changing talents results in hitting much harder as I mentioned.
literally shows ive done way more Blitz as ret than prot, almost double lmao.
I donât think Iâve ever seen a prot lobby and Iâm not sure why. Maybe a very small handful, like 1-3 max.
Iâm assuming itâs giga terrible, is the only reason I can think of as to why no one plays it.
