That’s where we are heading… Haste pots, flasks, scrolls, etc just keep going up up and up. Meanwhile there are more and more bots in the open world making it impossible to farm the gold or mats needed… The plan the gold sellers are executing is flawless right now!
its nerfed content you dont need to go all out anymore just show up and dont stand in the fire at this point
oh this argument lol…
Nobody said you needed to.
But it’s more fun to do more damage and perform better and it’s also faster so clearing both raids in 1 night is better than having 2 nights because people are coming without consumes/enchants.
can anyone help me with some raid budgetting? I don’t know where I’m going wrong
flask - 35g
food - 13s
haste pot and scrolls - 564g
well first of all flasks are 75-100g each and you will need 2-4 of them. Lets say 20 haste pots at 10g… Basic scrolls are 12g a set and you will need 6 sets for a 3 hour night without any deaths… So lets say you full clear in 3 hours. That is like 400g right this minute for a perfect night with zero deaths without any sort of inflation from supply constraints that is 100% coming.
!price Flask of Pure Death [Regional Average 55g 27s][Current - 69g49s]
2 of them is 4 hours, that’s 110-140g, 35g/hr.
Its really your choice to scroll and haste pot on prog, if you think that your run is going to take 8 hours by the usage of 4 flasks, then maybe the run completely sucks and adding 21 dps in 30x scrolls for 200g isn’t the play
You understand people play games to have fun, right?
grinding gold to run mass consumes is not very fun to me. I personally like to go in on the minimum buy some mana pots some cheap potions and call it a day no need to min max a 20 year old nerfed game
Good thing fun is subjective
Maybe blizzard could at least help mitigate flask cost by increasing duration of flasks and elixirs to 4-5 hours duration. This would actually help a ton for our pockets…
Blizz should just multiply the amount of resources that drop from nodes and decrease spawn times. It’s an accelerated schedule. EVERYTHING should be accelerated. Just increase the supply.
I haven’t even stepped into Outland yet, where I gather this would be experienced the most. Is that right? Is this more or less only with regards to end-game materials?
This is an interesting take. I mean, it seems apparent, but I’m curious if there are ways to prove it out. Like, obviously we don’t have an RMT equivalent to WarcraftLogs… nor a practical way to monitor/build such a thing. What do we have?

Yes, it’s your fault. Stop buying full consumes for easy content.
Use your brain.
That thing between you ears.
No one cares about your wow parses.
things will get better.. but Phase1 and Phase2 the most you’ll spend on consumes, or at least flasks. In Phase3 and beyond, Marks will start to drop from BT/Hyjal and eventually in SSC/TK, which will allow you to purchase Flasks from a vendor. Potions, oils/scrolls and food will continue to be the major consumable gold sink (plus epic gems and enchants for gear). Daily quests will become available at the start of Phase2, but it will be a bit of a slog to maintain a balance of expenses and income.
Just increase the spawn of manathistle and nether bloom. That’s the bottle neck. 1 small change would drastically improve the situation.
Blizz took like 3 months to buff black lotus in classic anniversary though. So maybe phase 4 or 5 we will see them address this finally.
Not to mention farming your own consumes and such should be an option for content
I generally love gathering, but its a waste of time in this version
I’m not even sure if its entirely bots - when I’m out, the ratio of people flying for nodes to actual node spawns is grossly outnumbered.
At this point, they should just release marks of illidari.
You don’t NEED the consumes. Do you understand English.
You are making the problem and crying about the problem. The content is post nerf. You can clear it with basic consumes that don’t cost much at all.
You are making this problem for yourself. No one is doing this to you.
This isn’t a problem for normal people.
Good idea but if they double the duration of flasks they might just go up double
Says the guy who has been hiding for 6 years, im sure youre going to be clearing ssc/tk
