Yeah, you’re fried.
WoW is a dead game? First I’ve heard of it, the thousands of players I see online every day seem to say otherwise.
You’d be surprised what level of penalties Blizzard is willing to uphold on falsities in their crusades to ‘make the game a better place’ for cough profits cough players.
They’ll gladly do the bare minimum like giving prot pally their own queue role than properly balance them. They’ll gladly do the bare minimum blanket suspending and DQing than properly review false positives.
6 months is a bit much but i think starting at 1 hour account wide for the first offense would be a good start. if its a repeat thing like 3 /afks in a week bump it up to 72 hours with some kind of cool off to go back to 1 hour. I think thats how league does it?
L O L you know I was just telling a friend of mine that if the classes were more balanced in PVP, people probably wouldn’t leave so often. Solo shuffle can be pure chaos one round and then an easy win the next. I get why people leave, but I’m glad I haven’t experienced that.
maybe have a cool off time where if you do 50 games without leaving your timer starts going back down. the more you leave the longer your whole account is done from that content
Also add 10 months ban for rolling OP classes that make game cringe to play.
a better idea, and other MMOs have done it already. Why not make it so that those flagged for botting, cheating, griefing and abandoning all get flagged into a subqueue system.
This system would allow them to still funnel money to Blizzard like they are, it doesnt get rid of them from the game so their population still shows as being inflated. but what it does do is lock them so their sales, trades, instances and phasing is all of other players that are locked into this subqueue system, as to not break the game for others that actually want to play the content.
You can ofcourse earn your way out of the subqueue system by playing fairly and not being a neusence to other players, or you are automatically removed after a month but can be reapplied to it instantly if you are still found to be an issue.
They would have no idea that they are in the subqueue because everything would appear normal to them, you would have no idea that the system exists because your gameplay would appear normal. but the bull grief and horrid player base would be locked behind an invisible fence for a month at a time.
You can see 1,000’s of players online in other games too and those games are also dead.
Perhaps you don’t understand what a dead game is. Well your playing it. The question is can Blizzard pull off a miracle and resurrect it? It would be nice. Doubtful though because I don’t think they have the talent or vision.
Might need Microsoft to step in who bought Activision/Blizz for a discount because Actiblizz is a sinking ship that has failed to launch a good game in nearly a decade. Again this is why Blizz needs every player it can get and to finally have a win with a game, to win back the millions they lost. (it’s been too many years)
So is this rated or regular shuffle?
I just complain about it in trade chat like a normal person
You must have a completely different definition of dead than I or the dictionary has.
The dictionary definition of dead for an MMO is - has the majority of the player base quit. That means the game is dying or dead.
WoW has been dying for many years and SL having the worst player metrics of any expansion. It’s dead with back to back atrocious expansions. This is how players perceive an MMO’s health and have ALWAYS perceived it.
This is why ALL MMO’s decided to try and hide their Sub/numbers so players wouldn’t know if the game is dying and if they should buy it or not. Players don’t want to join a dying game that has lost millions of players. They want to join a game that is gaining players.
Now you know.
Gaming companies figured this out obviously. If a game has 1 million players and loses 700k now with only 300k. That game is dead. It had died.
When you have a bad queue session and the existentialism kicks in
Yet here you are.
Changes nothing so you aren’t making a point. I’m playing WotLK and sitting in Que as I type this. You know the expansion when WoW wasn’t dead and at it’s pinnacle of MMO’s and gaming. The best MMORPG ever made.
WoW has fell off since WotLK the numbers state this. Cata was the last real WoW expansion then they lost 50% of their subs in WoD and realized they need to hide numbers so people won’t know the game is dead.
Again take this knowledge and do as you please with it. However to my original point…
Blizz is desperation to save WoW and needs to do everything they can to try and save it. I hope they do save Retail. I don’t think they have the talent or vision to do it though and it’s been nearly a decade since they made a good game. Which is why Microsoft bought them for discount.
I’d love for WoW to be a success story again instead of a dead game. Think we all want that honestly. Just don’t be confused on where we are currently and the reality of how much Blizz has to fix to change this around.
I mean all that’s gonna do is cause people to afk in matches which would actually hurt your rating more than someone nope-ing out of a match. At least they get to 100pt penalty and we don’t lose rating right now when it happens
I love the people who grandstand “the game sucks and is dead and Blizzard sucks” yet still play. These companies only listen to your money, so talk with it.
The king of the trolls out in full force again
I don’t think trolls have a hierarchy where a descriptor like ‘king’ would be applicable.
