Damn I am 45… I get shunned by the younger players for being the old guy and looked at as a younger guy by you 55+…Grrrrrrr… its not easy being green.
My vanilla guild was quite old-- we had 60 year olds and not that many teens/twenties, the average seemed to be late 20’s to late 30’s.
We weren’t an uber guild but we were mature and kind and loving and had fun.
BTW, are some of you planning a guild? I may have missed it… (I’m early 50’s btw).
I will be making a guild. I was guild leader during vanilla and BC. Not gonna be hard core. But there will be raiding. I will give a decent name. And will allow all ages to join. so…
I will be 52 next week, I have been playing off and on since 2006. I got my older brother [now 59] to start playing during TBC and he still plays.
I hit 56 two months ago and my wife just had a baby 2 weeks ago. We are sleeping in shifts and getting our routine down for juggling the baby and the game!
add me (Sikh#1646)
65 years young and still working full time, self employed. Started Vanilla in '05. Went from text based RPG to EQ, so I was almost a year late starting WoW.
Always been a casual, I am extremely casual now. I excel at being able to just get up and walk away from the screen now. Very proud of that accomplishment. Plus it gets harder to sit too long at my age lol!
Add me “pjb#1766”
I was a casual raider, I guess. Not sure what I’ll be this time. We had a very family oriented guild back in classic (through Wrath) that played daily and we grew very close.
will add later. Right now jonesing for stress test
Going horde on Barov
I think we have lots of (proper) Boomers, Xers, and even some of the Silent Gen here. Sounds like great company to me. I hit 51 this summer. I played WC2 & WC3 when they were brand new. I missed Vanilla due to real life happening. It would be great to roll with some people who value the journey as much as the destination. People who wouldn’t make me stay up late to raid.
I play every morning with my brother and sister, both in their 70s. We thought about calling ourselves “geezers with tweezers”. It is good to be retired.
66 here and didn’t start playing WoW until 2008, but it was the same as Vanilla to me because I didn’t know anything about BC at the time.
I’d be interested in a guild like this too so would love to be added when the time comes.
Oh you know you will stay up late. Just 1 more quest. LOL
OMG, I have totally stayed up the entire night doing “just one more quest”. LOL
Oh me too. So many times.
A guild forming? Awesome! Count me in!
Damned right! Like a Walker mount. And an “old geezer” character setting: wrinkly, big ears, no teeth, bald, and a cane … a really VICIOUS uber-elite cane!
Level 52 here
Been gaming since I got my IBM PC Jr at 17. Anyone remember Oregon Trail?
Id love to join a guild for us experienced folks. Luvtheskins#1236.
Oh Oregon Trail! Lots of dysentery and broken wagon wheels.
