Most games give you a handful of slots or give more if you pay for them. When I played FFXIV you got ONE slot by default unless you paid extra on the sub.
WoW already spoils you with 50. It’s fine. Delete characters you don’t play anymore or get another account.
Well, that’s how fast they were able to reach level 50 right after alpha was released, and they leveled the same way we do right now (i.e., no Chromie Time). It’s still so early that it could change.
It may be even faster with Chromie Time, but they might also make it a bit slower. We don’t really know at this point for sure.
That all being said, I still support the idea of raising the character limit. As others said earlier in the thread, part of it in my case is having characters that I spent a lot of time on in the past and don’t want to delete despite not playing them currently.
Except it’s not to some people. This doesn’t affect you. There’s a monthly sub cost, along with buying the game again to have another account. Not everyone has max levels of all these characters and doesn’t spend 8 hours a day on all of them to buy tokens, while also needing to buy the game.
The option of $5 for 5 slots up to a max of maybe 75 or 100 in no way affects anyone if Blizz can or wants to do it.
Getting really tired of people just dismissing this whole thing with the “Oh, go spend more money or gold a month and buy the game again, you don’t need this.” If Blizz can or wants to do it, then our suggestion didn’t go unnoticed. Telling people to delete things or spend a crap ton more money to “solve” their QoL suggestion here is a little irritating.
I dont have to sub multiple accounts to have more than x amount of characters on one realm and i dont have to sub multiple accounts for xfaction characters on a pvp realm.
That was a good 15 minutes spent chugging all my alts into that site. Thanks for the link! I don’t have quite 6k points but I’ve found some of the folks that have way more alts than I could even fathom.
That’s awful presumptuous of you. I don’t have any characters on an RP server, don’t RP, and I’m stuck with a full roster (and wanting more than 50 characters).
If you’ve been around for 15+ years on WoW it’s quite possible you’ve found yourself across multiple servers, different factions, and with a lot of nostalgic toons that you jump back to from time to time. I play about 10 actively but have a roster of 50.
When you go to the site, at the top where you put in your realm and character name there is a down arrow V When you click that you’ll see the Blizz icon and a list of Regions at the bottom, click your Region (I assume America’s) and allow the website to pull your account info from Blizzard and it will import all your characters for you.
