I wish Blizzard would let us laugh react to posts on the forums.
While it may be the original experience, I donât think twinks are healthy for low-level BG participation, and I support keeping them separate them from the gen. pop.
I wish that there were enough people participating with xp-off so they can have reasonable queue times, but I think the separation is the lesser of two evils solution.
I would have bit more respect for you people if you would just admit the truth. You want to âTwinkâ so you can stomp normal and badly geared players.
They definitely arenât healthy for those people, but i donât like it being used as a crutch either that people ignore what it used to be like and instead just shoot back to wrath when xp was implemented.
That being said i also wish there was a healthy enough population that we had ques consistently, it wouldnât be a problem. The main marketing point i suppose, or advertisement that twinks get, is smashing people in bgs, and that in turn grows the community and get more playersâŚ
With this, some people might not even know what a twink is for years, itâs a little tricky to advertise and grow the community for any bracket that isnât 19 29 60 or 70 which already has/had a strong established presence.
Edit: F
I think you missed the point. If the the twink community was all that amazing there wouldnât be any waiting in the queue.
Obviously if there werenât that many of them then the people complaining continuously were being really dramatic about how low level PvP was getting ruined.
Maybe heâs bilingual and asking a question?

It reads like that you wonât ever be returning to this game, so the wasted gold means nothing.
I donât think many players object to people working on their characters to improve their gear and skills so they can do well in battlegrounds. Thats a choice you make the same as running dungeons or raids to improve your character for general play. What many people object to is those who sit at X9 in a bracket with their exp off repeatedly smashing characters that come in for a bg as part of their levelling.
However, if it is true that you have spent a very long time in a queue with exp off, then that would seem to indicate that the numbers of people doing it is actually very small. Either that, or pvp players quickly heard the news and just unlocked.
I see so twinks were the majority in all the bgs you did ? If they were that plentiful I hope you enjoy your queue times once the new allied race influx passes through.
Played all day yesterday. Queues were normal, had one of the best days on WoW I have had in a long long time. Thanks for the thoughts
You turned off XP and gathered the best gear for your level to steamroll people leveling, doesnât take much to figure it out.
Iâm glad twinks are left to their own septate queue.
Iâm sure itâs difficult to convince people to disable the levelling of a character so they can spend time and money gearing up to BiS for that level, just so they can fight a tiny subset of the PvP community who treat a particular level bracket as their PvP end-game. The real appeal to entice many new folk probably is to steamroll the majority of other players in those PvP brackets. I imagine itâs difficult to draw many people in to that arrangement without the payoff of mostly lop-sided competition.
While we can acknowledge that and the fact that the original implementation of battlegrounds had no inherent xp gain, we can also acknowledge that this original implementation that allowed for twinking only provided fun to these few at the expense of the many. Most players arenât going to live at a low level bracket for their whole life. This is really meant to be a side activity or maybe even a primary activity that will still level them to end-game eventually. As such, itâs unreasonable to expect these players to invest heavily into getting specific items or enchantments that will become obsolete in a handful of levels just to be able to stand their own in the worst of cases. If all it takes is one or two enemy twinks to dominate an entire game, itâs not hard for many of the games to be ruined for most people there. Combine that with the likelihood of being matched against a lot of the same people in consecutive games, it makes more sense for these non-twinks to participate a lot less in low level PvP. If the non-twinks are continually run out of town in this way, then we might possibly come full circle to the issue where only twinks are participating in any given level bracket queue, and weâre all witnessing the problems caused by that.
If twinking dies because itâs not carried on the backs of the majority of levelling players, then maybe it simply isnât meant to be. Or maybe there needs to be lesser player-count objective-based pvp that only a small group of people are needed to participate for the tiny population of twinks. Either way, I think more people benefit from twinks being kept separate from xp-on players.
Twinks deserved this
Iâm not advocating itâs the right or morally fine way to recruit, and it isnât most of the people that do are looking to steam roll people, but itâs the most effective one that twinks have.
Iâd agree with everything else that was said, more harmful than good to allow twinks to stay in lvling bracketsâŚbut throw twinks a bone, give rated ques back and everyones happy
The non-leveling brackets will die yet again because surprise surprise, the majority of twinks donât want to play against other twinks.
Some for sure, and then the ones who want to steam roll leave, crippling the population even further that itâs hard to get games in against twinksâŚbelieve me, iâd love to face twink v twink only bgs but outside of friday nights or weekends itâd be hard to coordinate
you missed this part
Twink tears fuel me. I have a 12 hour shift coming at me tonight, Iâm going to be running at 110% capacity from all this whining from the âELITE GIT GUDâ twink community.
Pretty sure the people getting gy camped werenât having fun.
But every twink that posts says they neverrrrrrr do that.
