Hello all,
First things first, I’m not looking to raid beyond 11pm EST. So please save yourself the trouble if you go later.

A little bit about me. I’m 33 years old, have a 2.5 year old boy and a wife. I am a salaried Store manager for a grocery store chain. And gaming is my way of releasing stress so I don’t wake up one day wanting to off myself :slight_smile:

I’ve been with 4 guilds since throne of the four winds in cata. Demise - Burning Blade(throne - SoO, guild broke up) LA- Stormreaver(soo - highmaul, guild broke up) Infallible- Whisperwind(Emerald nightmare - uldir, guild broke up) Storm - Stormrage(uldir-current) guild broke up. All of these guilds have been CE guilds.

I am looking for a guild that is going to be around a while, and has been around a while as I am a very loyal person and do NOT want to be looking for a guild again in a couple months.

What is important to me:

  • A strong raid leader - I do not perform well when I am making raid calls. I do great when I am not. And i do the best when someone else is.
  • A Non-Toxic Environment(who isn’t): Need to be around raiders that can give and take criticism properly.
  • Some activity outside of raid hours. I get it, its the end of the tier, people are doing other things. I would at least like to have someone to chat with in discord.
  • Raiding with the intent of being the best you can be. I don’t like to raid with people who are just there for the ride.

But more importantly I’m looking for a raid team that will give me a chance.

I realize I’m a little behind and have a scary gap in progression. But it’s all mostly due to getting bummed out after a guild broke up and stepping away from the game entirely for a while. With Storm I had to step away from raiding right after blockade due to my wife and I both getting promotions that required us to move to Indianapolis, then shortly after finding out her moms throat cancer had come back(shes fine now). It was not an easy decision for me to make however when I was able to come back, the guild had died. I realize I do not have a history of omg orange parses and you can attribute that to once again, being the makeshift raid leader or not having a raid leader. And for killing most endgame bosses only 1 or 2 times due to Storm’s habit of extending with 2-3 bosses still left in the raid. If it counts for anything(lol it doesn’t) my heroic parses are all 95+ so at least i know how to pop all my cooldown and go ham right? And if you look at bosses I’ve killed more than 2 times the range goes up even higher.

We are a progression focused guild that realizes real life happens. We are not seeking server firsts; however, we do want to clear the top tier content. We were founded in Vanilla on Alter of Storms were we consistently made server second kills. However, the population on AoS was dwindling so we transferred to Stormrage in 2012 where we remained in the top 10-20th guild. Sounds like a perfect match honestly.
Our guild has been raiding since mid wrath and I simply am too attached to things to ever stop, even when times are up and down like they have been this summer.

So if you are looking for a long term home that raids Tues/Wed 7-11 EST lemme know!
We haven’t been as successful as I would have liked this expansion but historically we usually get to the last boss if not clear it most teirs.

Since you brought up 4 specific points, I can address those as well.

  • I believe we have a strong vocal core. We have subscribed for a long time that putting every single call on one voice is not productive for that individual, so instead we usually handle it per fight.
    I will try to make 70 percent of the calls, but things that aren’t important enough to warrant clutter or that I can not get interacted with might get called by some one else who is comfortable doing it - no matter what position they are in with the guild.
  • Toxicity is a tough word, because a lot of people who aren’t used to raiding probably think a lot of things about raiding can be considered toxic, but I can say this. We are there to raid and I intend to progress every night we are raiding in some capacity. I believe everyone in the guild can give and take responsibility well.
  • Activity is something I can for sure say we have outside of raid nights. I myself stream 3-4 times a week doing Mythic plus on various levels, or other activities, so if you are some one who likes to engage there you can do so with many of the guild and other community members. Alongside that, many of our core actively run Keys together and play a lot one way or another.
    Even right now, late on a Sunday, there are 11 people in discord doing various things together!
  • This is the #1 thing I resonate with. Every day I wake up I try to get a little better at everything I do. I can’t always promise every single member of the guild will match that enthusiasm, but I will try my best to bring it out of everyone at any corner I can.

Either way, we will absolutely give you a chance.
I LOVE developing talent, as it almost always pays dividends in the long runs more so than inviting some one overqualified.

I don’t care about your parses or whatever else.
All I care about is that you want to be in the guild and are there to make friends and do the best you can do.

<The Veil> 4/8M 8/8H is a raiding guild on Stormrage-US. We aim to push progression within a competitive 2-day (6 hour) schedule while still maintaining a fun and positive atmosphere. We treat each other with respect, seek high performance, excellent game-play and a positive attitude. Drama and toxic behavior are not tolerated here.

Raiding only 2 nights a week means we want our players to be the best they can be. Our members have families, careers, and studies, so we need to take the 6 hours we spend together seriously.

We also run Mythic + most days of the week. For some of us pushing high level keys is our primary WoW focus, but we also strive to make sure our raiders are getting their capped weekly rewards.

Raid Schedule:

Tuesday: 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (EST/server time)
Thursday: 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (EST/server time)

Optional: Farm content re-clears (pending participation)

You must be able to reliably make the core raid nights with near 100% attendance. Real life does occasionally hit even the most reliable raider, all we ask is for as much notice as possible.

Current Needs:

We strive for an environment that takes the challenges of mythic raiding seriously while giving the content the respect it deserves. Our aim is, as all mythic teams, full clear of content but with always keeping the friendly spirit of camaraderie alive. We do not require mythic raid experience to join our team but we do expect mythic-level dedication and accountability from all of our raiders. You must be able to take constructive criticism and have ownership over your level of play, and be willing to put in the effort to be a contribution to the team.

We want someone that is going to put forth their best effort. This means knowing your class inside and out, coming to raid prepared with food, flask, runes, re-roll tokens, knowledge of upcoming encounters and your role within them. We are looking for someone who can think on their own and follow a strategy without being constantly reminded throughout the encounter.

Heals – preference for Holy pally or Resto shammy

Ranged DPS – all (preference for boomkin, warlock)

Melee DPS – all (preference for DH, WWmonk, ret paly)

Tanks – preference for dk, paladin, warrior

Exceptional players of any class should always feel free to apply. Our roster is somewhat flexible so we will never turn away a great player. We just want the best 20+ people in our raid so we can progress.

What we expect from you:

  • Be punctual, reliable, and competent
  • Have a good attitude towards raiding. While we do our best to have fun, our goal is to use our time efficiently and effectively.
  • Have the ability to take constructive criticism. We all make mistakes but repeating mistakes is the bane of progression. Understand your mistakes, learn from them and fix them.
  • Bring consumables: We expect raiders to bring flasks, potions, and some food in case we don’t provide feasts. While we may not pre-pot or food buff on initial pulls, it is expected that during serious attempts, all raiders are maximizing their output.

Our trial period is 2-3 weeks and in that time we consider a several factors - Performance, Situational Awareness, and Fit/Attitude/Attendance. Performance is your output (DPS/healing/threat). Situational Awareness is your ability to not take unnecessary damage and correctly execute fight mechanics. Fit/Attitude/Attendance is how well you fit in with the guild, your outlook on raiding, and your reliability in raids.

I’m with Mediocrity, a newly formed guild on Thrall-US. We’re currently recruiting all classes/specs to build out our guild and put together a Mythic raid team. We’re about 2DPS shy from having a really sold 20-man roster, and fully anticipate to be 3/8M by next week, at the minimum.

We just transferred to the largest alliance server in the game, Stormrage! Finished US 140 for Mythic BoD. Killed Jaina multiple times before the hardcore nerfs and reclear her every week.

We push people to get 1 heroic clear and 1 mythic 10 plus a week done. This is required for our mythic raiders. As long as there is forging in the game people should be fishing for titanforges.

More about the guild: This is a semi-hardcore mythic progression focused guild first and foremost. We are an extremely active guild, the most active on the server, and more active than most servers/guilds. Our people do not just log on for raids once or twice a week. Our average age range is 21-33. We enjoy PvP- arenas, rbgs, bgs, wpvp, Mythic+, achievements. We have a very laid back but like to get stuff done kind of atmosphere when it is not raid time. Haunted by Murlocs (4/8M tEP) is a semi-hardcore raiding guild looking to recruit exceptional raiders for our three raiding teams.

The Who:

We are a semi-hardcore mythic raiding guild raiding based on Area52 Horde. We emphasize on having fun while pushing content. Our leadership comprises of a GM council and an Officer team. We have three active raid teams raiding at different times and on different days catering to our roster’s raiding needs. Each Raid team has its own Raid Leader with the calls of the RL for the raid being final.

The When:

We have three active raiding teams - AM, WE and PM. Each raid team’s timings are listed below:

  1. The AM team (4/8M) raids for 3 days a week for 3hrs a day on Wed/Thu/Fri 10:00AM-1:00PM EST with an optional Heroic Clear on Tue 11AM-1PM EST.

  2. The WE team (4/8M) raids for 2 days a week for 4hrs a day on Fri/Sat 9:30PM-1:30AM EST.

  3. The PM team (3/8M) raids for 3 days a week for 3hrs a day on Tue/Wed/Thu 8:00PM-11:00PM EST.

The Requirements:

Raiders must be above 430ilvl and have a neck level of 65 at least to trial with any of the raid teams. The player must also transfer to Area52 Horde side if wishing to trial/raid mythic with us for obvious reasons.

The Rules:

  1. Trials are brought in depending on the needs of the raid on the day and are expected to be available for the duration of the raid they are trialling with. If the performance exceeds expectations, trails will be inducted into the raid team as raiders. Should you fail your trail you would be demoted to a member rank and can request trial later to retry for a raider spot.

  2. Discord is required for all guild raids and is expected to be kept clear for callouts and stuff. We use Jeeves authentication to ensure the security of our discord server and is required to be able to use the server.

  3. Attendance to raids is mandatory despite your rank. However, we understand life happens and if you are unavailable on a particular day, posting out on discord is required to ensure your trialling remains in good standing.

  4. All loot that is looted by a player belongs to the player unless the player willingly on his own discretion gives it up for rolling. The item is then rolled through a loot council comprising of one of the officers/GMs, raid leader and a randomly selected raider that are in the raid.

  5. All BoEs that drop during the raid go to the guild to fund the repairs, feasts and cauldrons provided in the raid.

  6. Players are required to know their class to the levels expected out of a raider and research boss mechanics ahead of the raid. Players are also expected to show up fully enchanted and gemmed before the raid with the best pots they are supposed to use.

  7. Drama will not be entertained, and repeated drama would result in a guild kick.

The Needs:

We are looking for exceptional raiders to fit in to our three raid teams - AM, WE and PM. We require different class/spec combinations for each team, and you can find each team’s requirements below.

  • AM team is looking for exceptional rdps preferably a Warlock, FMage, Spriest and a dps with a viable tanking offspec.

  • WE team is looking to recruit exceptional rdps preferably SPriest, Warlock and Boomie and a Havoc DH. We are also interested to recruit a healer with viable dps OS.

  • PM team is looking for all exceptional DPS preferably warlocks, DH and Fury Warriors. We are also interested in recruiting a healer preferably a resto shaman/druid.

The Addons:

We require a few addons enabled by the players to raid with us. We require you to use DBM/BigWigs for boss mods, Angry Assignments for role assignment, WeakAuras2 for quality of raiding improvement and RCLC (Core, Group Gear, Extra Utilities) for raid loot distribution.

The Community:

We have an active community of players. Due to the nature of our raid teams you’ll always find a lot of us online to do a lot of Mythic Plus or Islands or any other content that you’d need a hand with or simply want company with. We also push high keys and have a few guild friends who hang out in our discord for pushing keys and stuff.
