Here’s a hot take. I disagree. I think the time of farming and grinding in a game for 60-80 hours for a small gain or reward are obsolete and archaic. It’s not 2008 anymore. Technology and social media have really evolved since WoW’s early days. There are far more options available and things to do now. Attentions spans are shortened. Would it really be bad to have a game mode where I can just jump in and be top geared (relatively speaking like a template) and experience (higher end) raid or pvp as a casual or new player?
In 2024 do we really need timegated RNG content that forces you to run it again and again for weeks on end? There are so many games out there now that reward you much faster and more frequently for the same time put in. Warcraft desperately needs a facelift and to think outside the box creatively or it’s going to lose what little of its loyal playerbase it has left.
