So, say that maintenance is 4 hours a week every week. It’s not, but just for arguements sake.
Wow essentially costs .50cents a day to play, roughly .02cent an hour.
So for 4 hours downtime, that’s .08cents lost a week. Times that by 52 weeks, and you have 4.16$ total of wasted cash a year due to downtime.
So no, it’s not really ‘insane’ when you think about it.

Also you don’t have to land for the debuff to tick off. At worst it’s 2 stacks so oh nooooo you’re only going 310% instead of 370% (if you’re in a guild, 300 vs 360 without). You’ll still get to your dungeon plenty quick. Stop whining and pay attention to your surroundings for once in your life.

A lot of people on MG are on 24/7 and many will outright tell you they abuse welfare to sit at home.

Yes having people flood the AH with 100 pages of ones was excellent before. I loved being forced to get addons to get around them, instead of it functioning correctly.
The simple fact is if people didn’t abuse it to begin with, the change wouldn’t be needed. However people kept flooding it with stacks of one to force people without AH addons to buy their item, or scroll through 27 pages for a half hour to buy their ore.
If you basically have to patch a system with addons, its not working as intended.

Since there aren’t any new dungeons in the old zones you can just talk to the npc in town to go back to the old version so you can freely fly to the dungeons in peace.
If you are going back to say Zandalar to do dungeons after you can always ask you team to teleport you with the summoning stone?
