These shutdowns usually end early now. I think that rather than giving the best estimate of a big maintenance to readers, they rounded up to the next hour and added an hour or two. That way people could be pleasantly surprised when the game comes up early, rather than distraught when it is a few minutes late.

I honestly don’t get the hate surrounding the worm. I’ve been doing nearly every daily quests and I have done every vision etc in the two zones and have been targeted by the worm a whopping once. And it was my fault. I got a few minutes of slower flying and that was it.
The worm is the easiest thing ever to avoid. Literally fly slightly above the mobs on the ground. You won’t get targeted by them and the worm won’t target you. Heck I find this more enjoyable then flying way up on the air where you can’t see anything anyway. It’s not like flying high in the sky makes you faster.

Perhaps it’s because the worm serves no purpose other than to irritate you? It adds no difficulty to the game, no mastery is required to defeat it, no sense of accomplishment nor prize is awarded in defeating it. It simply makes it take longer for me to fly from one end of the map to the other, which is required a lot in this patch. I fly on auto so it annoys me greatly when I am leaving and now have to sit and wait for it to wear off before I can travel to a dungeon.
It’s not hatred it’s just flat lame and rather pointless.

It does add difficulty, it requires awareness, that is the new difficulty apparently.
I swapped my day off that’s normally tuesdays for Wednesday this week. These past few weeks have been horrendous for maintenance

Ahh, that good ole travel awareness. That’s what keeps you coming back. And here I was thinking I was aware, until you told me I wasn’t, I wasn’t aware that I was not aware when awareness was warranted.
