It sounds like the 63% of other players should log in more than once a week lol. At this point, if people don’t have it, they might be playing less than that if they’re actually making any sort of attempt to get it. I know people who started again three weeks ago and are a few days from getting it at a very leisurely pace.
You got UBRS / Strat / Scholo / LBRS (But who does LBRS except for some attunment quest chain) / Blackrock Depths +.
Point say, just DM is a bit more important, but you got other dungeons too.
Yes, once you have done the exploration and zone quests, what does it hurt if you want to fly an alt through it? Seriously, if you’ve done it once, that should be enough to get flying.
At that point you are either playing alts, which won’t be well geared anyway, or grinding pearls to compete with dungeon gear. One doesn’t harm any raider, but the second player grinding pearls does piss the hardcore gamers off, but I really don’t understand why.
It’s not like flying will make us run out of content.
BUT PATHFINDER REQUIREMENTS DO IN FACT CAUSE PLAYERS TO QUIT.
All my friends quit in WoD because of pathfinder
Yes and yes and yessssss, pathfinder is boring but i unlocked it both on Us-server / Eu-server. and no i work, i go gym, i watch movies, i help family, i study. so ya am busy in life too.
change it to tearfinder and we’ll have 100% success rate
That’s meaningless because it says nothing about what that 63% think. I bet most of them don’t care and are just working through the requirements slowly.
I mean what exactly is the rush? Especially as I am willing to bet like me there isn’t a great deal that retains my attention after a couple of weeks for many. Not everyone by a long mile is a serious raider.
Just how much repetition is there with Nazjatar WQs?
This is what FFXIV does and it honestly works great. The Pathfinder grind isn’t hard – it’s quite trivial to perform – but it’s annoying and boring, and the zones are unusually tedious.
Going by this breakdown of all 120s, I’d say a huge chunk of them aren’t even playing anymore.

Heart of Azeroth - 99.6%
Heart Forge - 67%. This is a railroaded quest that happens about 15 minutes into Nazjatar. After a resub bump from a new content patch and pre-release Classic events, and a solid month and a half of release, a third of 120 characters haven’t even stepped into the new content.
R2 essence - 43.9%. This literally takes a single M+ run of middling difficulty. Very simple even for alts. The week we had Tyr/Volcanic it didn’t take much more than a pulse.
Pathfinder 2 - 37%. Likely plateaued by now. There are a few people still hammering it out but for the most part, most people you still see around are flying.
R3 essence - 20%. Again, requires very little – only a couple M+ weekly chests that don’t even have to hit +10.

Almost every Mythic dungeon has a higher completion rate than Heart Forge.
Quite a bit. The pool it rotates through seems to be about 2-3 times as many as there are up at any given time. Anymore I only do the ones that give pearls – usually a third or less – and even they tend to repeat every 2-3 days.
What an odd thing to argue about.
It’s just a fact that a lot of people just re-subbed to reserve names during the name reservation event. Plenty probably are waiting until release also because they didn’t want to waste game-time just to reserve a name, but plenty of people rushed to reserve names.
I’m not arguing. Just saying that you are making false claims based on internet banter on a forum full of people who enjoy spreading rumors for no reason other than folks like you who believe everything you read here.
It might be true. But the “bunch” of people may be 5. No one knows.
I’m one of those people and I wouldn’t bother if they did this. Why bother unlocking Pathfinder if the game isn’t even worth playing?
Considering its a lot easier than at any other pathfinder, Its hardly boring nor challenging. A lot of people haven’t bothered because they are bored with WoW at this point…
That suggests that about 63% of the player base from the start of BFA to now have essentially logged until 9.0, at best.
That seems to match my friends list.
75% of people I knew in vanilla, thru all the expacs til today, still play. That means 150% of All Players are still subbed since I didn’t know every single person on my realm.
I can make up my own bs stats! /whee
I’d only consider it for possible future usefulness.
IE: I didn’t unlock Draenor pathfinder until later in Legion because I didn’t play WoD much, especially at the end, but then was annoyed at not being able to fly there during Legion and had to go back to get it.
I’d honestly only consider playing current WoW again if they changed their stance on flying in the next expansion, and just let us unlock it at max level again instead of waiting a whole year. Even if that means unlocking it through 1 part of a Pathfinder, even though I hate time gated rep grinds.
So giving us a rep event to unlock the current Pathfinder easier pretty much is meaningless for me. My problem with the game, which is why I stopped playing it, still exists.
It is a slap in the face only 1/3 of the customers have flight!
They know how many accounts have a level 120 character, not how many are still active. To me, this just says that 60% of the people who bought this expansion are no longer playing.
I may never have it. I don’t even have part one. I started working on it last night but stopped because I don’t see any quests on the boat and have no idea what I have to do to complete the war campaign. I also have no clear idea of what quests are required in each zone and which I can skip. I also went to the new zone but have a message saying I have to get some quest in Voldun to continue…went to Vol’dun…no quest. No idea where to pick up said quest. Yeah, I could research it, But I don’t care enough to do so. I just avoid BFA content.
Gotta agree, this Pathfinder was hardly… hard, specially with the WQ bonus week; like you were getting 1250 exp daily minimum with Rustbolt daily for one WQ for a week!
Player engagement is apparently really low tbh.
If a person hasn’t unlocked Pathfinder pt2 after 2 weeks they’re doing something wrong.
