People should have been levelijg alts. Its what I did. The renown catchup is massive compared to other catchups, ive got 4 covenant storylines to progress through and not enough time to do them all.
But no upgrades are purchased with anima. Anima, from what I’ve seen thus far, is only there to buy cosmetics, pets and mounts. Even the covenant upgrades exist only to get you more cosmetics, pets and mounts.
The only gear you’ll come across in your hunt for anima is from your covenant story campaign, which you access through increasing renown and your weekly 1k anima farm.
You’re ENTIRELY unwilling to accept that the rate of acquisition will improve throughout the expansion, despite it happening with every single borrowed power system in the past.
You’re ENTIRELY willing to listen to anyone who doesn’t agree with you about it.
You’re ENTIRELY too angry about this for me to understand why you’re still paying $15 a month for something you’re so venomously angry about.
Is that so? I have to pay currently have to pay 5K anima just to upgrade one covenant structure. 5K/35 = 143 rewards. Multiplying that by the 250 Azerite that you’re claiming, we end up with 35K+ worth of Azerite to upgrade one structure. Can you remind me when in BFA we had to pay that much Azerite to get our command table, scrapper, battle fronts, island expeditions, and/or any other basic function going? Consider that the next tier of buildings will cost three times that much apiece. The gear you buy with anima is purely for cosmetic reasons, because we will outgear that stuff long before we’ll have the anima to sink into it. I don’t think you thought your statement through before you made it.
Pretty much what I been saying since launch. Every Tuesday its about 2hrs of content an your basically done with everything outside of raids, pvp and keys if those are you thing…
Oh, no, I see that it’s in line with previous xpack amounts.
But at least when it comes to “consolation prizes” when you don’t get real loot, I’ve always felt that amount is far too little. Increase it. A LOT. Then slap a weekly cap on the resource from that particular source. That way you have a goal, you feel like you get a good amount when you do content, but it doesn’t break the intended progression in terms of how much of it you’re getting week to week.
Grinding it out day one is pretty easy, too. You get 250 for the world boss, there is usually a quest up that grants like 250, and that puts you halfway there.
If you spread out turning in anima dungeon quests you can just turn that quest in and then do the world boss for 1000, but only a handful of times.
hence the use of the word “average” as there are also items that cost pennies. also all those items that are 35000 are cosmetic non-required items such as mounts or whatever…
Sanctum upgrades are pretty much cosmetic as well, as they do not affect progression/power, as having the ability to plant more seeds won’t help your character at all, as all the rewards from the queens conservatory (ie. for nightfae) are just cosmetic items and worthless profession mats, same goes with the other sanctum upgrade options.
I’m fine with the 35 anima, if you math it out it’s similar to AP drops from keystones in previous xpacs in relation to the actual cost of items etc., but renown is character power. Conduits are essentially gear, and the passives gained from the soul bind tree contribute to player power. The renown catch-up system is pretty great, so it only really matters if you are going hard on progression, but getting your 1000 anima per week is pretty important at the top end for player power.
