I don’t understand how every new thing added to the game is “to drive token sales” none of it is necessary. The rank 5 and 6 Lego’s are 30 dps upgrades each for me.
Carries? I have no idea why people who previously didn’t do content now feel like they have to have gear that makes it like they do content.
I don’t think Blizzard is incentivising anything, I think everyone’s just gone mad about what they “need”
You’re trying to dismiss an example of what is causing gold inflation by saying it was many years ago, but wow tokens were first put in the game during wod. So it is irrelevant how many years ago it was.
There are things in game that have been causing massive inflation, and it is not tokens.
buddy we don’t agree a lot but you seem like a somewhat reasonable person
why you gotta act like the entire design of this game isn’t to compel players to feel driven to optimize their toons? I see you ignore this a lot saying stuff like 'you don’t HAVE to do that" or “you don’t really NEED that gear”
that doesn’t really provide anything productive as they are obviously driven to stay as optimal as they can and the real complaint is that the grind time or experience is excessive and burning them out
literally feedback of ‘grind is not fun’ usually with some suggestion that would made it more palatable
wouldn’t it be more productive for you to say what you like about it and how you might change it to be more palatable to more people? You just respond with ‘change your mindset’ to so many things in a game designed to literally avoid that outcome
or maybe you’re just a huge grind lover and stuff that bores most players makes you happy in your free time, but it still isn’t productive to tell them to ‘change your mind and start liking it’
Callings are 1.6k gold per quest on average. Paragon takes 42,000 and there are 4 factions. 168,000 for all 4 factions. After which you get 3600 gold for 10,000 reputation points which can be made per calling.
Still $15k / week is 4 weeks of 7day/week to earn 50-60k for non domination socket legos go for on popular servers. 200k+ would take 14 weeks which is a bit over 3 months.
Liquid wealth gained in torghast is negligible, as is m+, raids, and PvP. An average player who doesn’t play optimally in regards to efficiency is always going to be left wanting for gold.
PS. I’m certainly not hurting for gold, I was gold positive in BFA and bought a few wow tokens in 8.3. I can easily see all the traps and sinks in this game, however, and how the average video gamer would struggle with scraping up 200k.
I always found it weird that players who continue to play this game even make jokes about the guy and his money. Stop spending money on anything his name is tied to if it bothers you that much.
An average player like this doesn’t need a rank 5 or 6 legendary 2-3 weeks into the patch. The rank 3 or 4 or whatever they might have from last patch has the exact same effect, just a slightly lower amount of stats.
Of course you don’t need to buy gold. People who don’t play the game have no expenses.
Wow, you’re totally reaching. Why would anyone be jealous of you, one of the most angry antisocial posters on the forum? All you ever do is bash other players and whine that you can’t convince enough players to quit the game to make it tolerable to your delicate sensibilities.
Why would I think anyone is jealous of me? Why would I care if some randoms on a video game forum are jealous of me. I have made it very clear on this forum, numerous times, that I don’t care what anyone here thinks of me. The forum is meant to be used as a discussion board for the game, not a popularity contest.
Anyways, that’s enough about myself since, like I said, I don’t care to discuss anything about myself with you.
What’s even funnier though is that if you go through that accounts cheeves (or that list) they don’t even have a 60. Now there are 3 possibilities with this.
Check-PvP is not including all of their characters.
They are throwing more money at the game paying for a second account to keep this one for trolling purposes. Now I don’t think that someone is paying for 2 accounts (because they really hate the game) on an account with 18k achievement points. So I think it’s option 3.
