30 Runs is

People have Stockholm Syndrome to the spirit of classic. It has some mythical power of them to forget that jump runs existed. Power leveling existed. Hunters soloing DM tribute existed. It would seem it is they who want the game to change to some idealistic ideal they had of the game that, didnt exist and certainly doesn’t exist now with the over sized servers.

Thank you. I think alot of folks that talk either dont remember…or more likely didnt really play the original.

No they don’t. The cap is per realm. On one account, they can easily have multiple 60s on multiple realms and just change realms when they hit the cap on one realm. Boosting another character to 60 on a different server takes them two days, tops. It just forces one single bot account to farm on four servers per day instead of one.

This removes the competitiveness from the game. It is a horrible solution to a horrible problem. I would say bots are a necessary evil if this is the cost of getting rid of them.

It’s about the resets. It’s easy to blow through 30 resets in a day, depending on what you’re doing. If you’re a 60 powerleveling enchanting and tailoring by running low level instances for greens to disenchant or cloth, well you have 6 hours to do this then you’ll have to do something else.

Work Monday-Friday and can really only play during the weekend, yet tryna level your alt by boosting it, well sucks for you.

Tryna farm Briarwood Reed and need to reset to check for Jed? Well, best be careful how many resets you do today or else you won’t be raiding tomorrow.

That’s just to name a few examples.

I think the OP fails to see the overall picture here. It may be unhealthy, but it’s not up to you to decide how people should choose to spend their time.

It may go against the spirit of classic, but this is a 15 year old game my dude. The 1-59 grind captivated us 15 years ago. We’ve had YEARS worth of private server experience. We want to play Classic the way WE want to play it. Unhealthy or not.

The rich get richer this way. No one will ever be able to compete with their gold wealth now that theyve amassed for half a year. They can control the market til the servers turn off now.

Like keybinding and/or knowing the content?

Yeah…

Let’s limit the amount of content one can know also.

are you implying people didn’t get ran through dungeons to boost themselves back in the day? wowhobbs got famous off of it lol

there’s going to be at least some fresh tbc servers, its not the big deal you’re making it out to be

I don’t think it’s short sighted, but intentional. Obviously want to encourage even more botting accounts because that’s exactly what this will necessitate.

Hear, hear! This is why we as a community need to speak up now before we lose the game that some of us still actually care for.

I would question those who call it unhealthy. Nothing wrong with gaming for 20-30 minutes, taking a half hour break during the reset, and then coming back to the computer once the reset lifts.

There are some who refuse to leave the house. Hell, they probably drag their laptop into the bathroom, and raid from the toilet.

BUT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND, PREBIS, PARSING, GAH D: IF I DONT HAVE MY HOJ, I WILL HAVE 0.7% LOWER DPS, I WILL STILL TOP THE CHARTS, BUT IT WILL MEAN NOTHING!

i love this, the forums are great again.

People who are doing quick runs are saying, like 3 min a run is what 1.5 hours of actual played time, not 6 hours. Its 6 hours overall, but you aren’t actually sitting there running that dungeon for 6 straight hours. Seems pretty easy to hit to me?

Do you truly think that lacking pre-BiS causes a drop of just around 0.7% lower dps? Or that only DPS specs farm things? Given your sarcastic tone it seems that you are just choising to ignore the rest of the argument. How callous.

Specific item differences. Bis vs alternatives. But yeah it’s a playstyle it’s not a big deal.

I finished 30 runs in about 3 hours today. Get gud kid

For starters alot of people like me play at disproportional tomes.

M-F I might average 1 hour a day while Saturdays and Sundays im playing about 14 hours a day.

Next you have feral druids which farm MCP’s from gnomer. You can easily hit 30 instances in 6 hours.

Finally bots have multiple accounts so this isn’t affecting them, they will just make more accounts. It only hurts legitimate players.

So, if I am doing 300 runs, but just spreading them across realms, we’re good?

Let’s just answer the question, “why?”
